when i usuallly wash nappies i do an extra rinse at the end, do i still need to do this with soapnuts or is it unnecessary ?

thanky :flower:

oh and when they say 6-8 shells, do they mean half shells ?

you dont need to do extra rinses with soapnuts :) I use about ten half shells.

Yea i use about the same :) Its great not having to rince them after

I use 6 whole shells, no extra rinse

I wash lots at 30 - so if the nuts are new I soak for a few mins in a cup of warm water to soften - can tell they are ready as the water goes a bit white

ooo i need to use a couple more shelly bits then, goodo about the extra rinse as i didn't do one this morning ! nappies smell nice

no you don't need the extra rinse because there no detergent build up. At the moment i do a plain water rinse before i put them through the wash which has helped some of the nappies that are a bit stinky, bg especially

yeah i do a rinse cycle at the beginning, mainly to get rid of the sloppy poop - started doing that after i noticed that my soapy water was yellow during my first nappy wash :haha:
