I wonder how many infertility FB pages or groups there are. Probably not too many. I'd join but I'm about to deactivate my FB due to the overload in "expecting" statuses.

aww, it's a shame that it's come to having to delete your account armywife, but yes, i too almost deleted my FB account, but then i found the hide button!! it's amazing! they are still your friends but you don't get their status updates on your news feeds!! so the only way you can find out what's happening with them is if you clock on to their page...

there are a few infertility pages but none that are just for getting advice and such. most of them talk about celebrities who are having children and discussing what methods they may have used.

I have hid some of their statuses, then some I forgot I was friends with. Then I just started deleting pregnant people off of my friend's list. Now it's gotten to the point where there's at least 2 announcements a week!!! Ridiculous.

aww, now that is ridiculous! i'd be going scatty if that were me. but i did delete my facebook and started all over again! but this time i have a very select few on facebook, just immediate family, and one or two of my closest friends, and then i have infertility pages and groups along with horsey related thing! lol! but this way i don't need to hide anything from facebook and i can say exactly what is on my mind, and not stress about people finding out i have what they class as a "disease"... and someone even asked me if it was contagious!!! can you believe that! i nearly punched her!

but yeah i can understand why you want to get rid of it. sometimes i think that it can be a curse as well as a way of keeping in touch.

but think of it this way, make it work for you! use it to your advantage, like i did. now it is something that helps me through some rough times.

As a disease???!!! I can't believe that someone seriously asked you if it was contagious!! How absurd and uneducated they must be!

That does sound like a good idea, deactivating it for a while then starting back over with positive groups..and just a few friends and family.

I just can't deal with FB these days.

glad this is starting to take off, i hope that this is going to be helpful to all, and yep i'm a horsey person... lol! not actually a horsey owner, but it's on the cards, depending on IVF...

there is a group and a page, i was advised to have the group as a secret group because of comments etc showing up on profiles etc, but now no-one can find it... :/
