faint positive then negative test

Hi. Just wondering if anyone can help.
I took a pregnancy test on monday afternoon and got a very faint positive before the 5 minute window time. I took another test from the same pack tuesday morning with fmu and it was negative. I just assumed it was negative and left it.
now I have read things like a line is a line and false positives dont happen.
what do people think?

When did you test? I know it sucks, but testing too early, eg before AF is due, you can get a positve, but it may be a chemical pregnancy. Or it may have been positive but didn't survive... dont know much bout this, and hard to advise without knowing when AF is late or not. I would wait till AF is a week late, then test again. Unfortunately it seems with early testing we are finding out about more chemical pregnancies we never would have known about otherwise... however,
