~*~Feb Lovebugs Baby Club :)~*~

Had a look at the Cambridge Diet, but found this on their website about breastfeeding women:
1. Why are pregnant or breast feeding women advised not to use Cambridge?

Answer

Pregnant and lactating women require increased levels of protein and energy, and are
advised to follow a diet rich in lean protein, wholegrains fresh fruit and vegetables etc.

So low GI one for me I think, basically cutting out all crap sugars and eating good foods.

Sounds like what I need to do, am going to cutout all bread, and swop white for brown pasta & rice. I already eat fruit n veg, my downfall is chocolate lol

today 2 for me today and boooyyyy i am feel it, im sooo hungry all the time, got headaches and have no energy, i take thats from not having sugar after sugar and getting them sugar rushes etc.. hpefully it will get easier soon

I did my first piblic feed today in the doctors :D

Argghh it was scary...i hate my breasticles!
xx

i've heard about babies having a 3 week growth spurt, is it true? and do they sleep more through it?

Aww congrats! Join the anti-breasticle club! lol

I looked in the mirror earlier after I'd fed her from one boob all night and one was full and rounded and one was sagging and floppy

My lo hasn't been well  She had a blood streaked nappy on Monday then Tuesday had frothy green nappies all day which went yellow again this morning then at lunchtime had another couple frothy green poo nappies then vomited up about 6/8oz of feed over about an hour and half. (She is exclusively bf but gets a bottle of ebm at night from daddy so I could tell how much milk she was spewing up) I couldn't believe all that was in her tiny belly, I was getting really worried she was really ill.
She calmed down after 2 hours though . I left her rooting until she was screaming for another feed as I was really reluctant to give her any more boob milk if that was making her ill. I was considering giving her formula but she was screaming so bad I gave her booby. She ate for about 10mins then she fell asleep and is now sleeping in bed with Daddy.
I don't think she's been latching properly these last few days as she was making lots of lip smacking noise - that and my over abundance of milk has been making her ill.

I've been trying to block feed her - one boob at night, one in the morning, one in afternoon - but she's still puking lots and green nappies. (I know that sounds like I've got 3 boobs but you know what I mean)

Arghhhhhh - my poor baby

Gill; it might be that she is getting too much foremilk & not staying on long enough for the hindmilk which can cause the green poo. My HV told me to leave Tahlia on even when I think she has finished & just comfort sucking untill she comes off herself as they sometimes have quite long rests while feeding. Another thing is a food intolerance she is getting from you, dairy is a comon one. It can take a couple of weeks from you cutting things down to see an improvement though. Have you had her to the doctors?

Yeah - go you!!! :happydance: Well done hunni.

I hate my breasticles too, & infact my whole body. It's like I have somebody elses, I cant even look at it in the mirror as it upsets me so much.

Hopefully it'll sort out soon. I havent been to doctors no, Ive got the hv coming Monday but if it doesn't seem to calm down before then I'll take her in. SHe seems a little better now fingers crossed

Gill; fingers crossed for you that she is getting better, it's so worrying isnt it, especially as they can't tell you what is wrong. x

Awww fraser was an early smiler too. He gave me a cracking one last night when I was giving him his massage after his bath. He doesnt laugh, but makes that sound like gurgling in his throat when he is happy.

Well done on losing the lb! Its great when you see results. I started ww again today properly, I have revised how I am going about it. I am having two ww meals a day, one at lunch and one at dinner with a load of zero point veg, will come to about 10 points, which leaves me with 8. I dont tend to eat breakfast so it means I can still have a glass of wine (2 points) and diet. I also started sit ups yesterday, did 50 in 5 lots of ten through out the day, every couple of hours. I am 9 stone 10 this morning so lost 2lb from 9 stone 12 last week.

How about we DO start a weight thread for the lovebugs? if not the baby club will just fill up with weight stuff lol! Maybe I can design us a wee blinkie for our signatures and I know somewhere online you can get little stars with how much you have lost to put in your signature, another motivation!

I had a difficult evening with fraser last night. He seemed colicky, but I think now, its that I have moved up a teat size too early and he has been taking too much too fast. I went back a teat size this morning and he was so much more contented and easy to feed. He also settled really well for his nap, for the first time in days. He was up 7-10pm last night, mostly screaming, and took 10 ounces in 2 hours, but then he slept 10pm to 2.30am and then to 7am. I am still really tired though and was quite down this morning, but getting over it now.

Hi all!

I had a bit of a break last night as my Mam was here for a few days and she took Max for the night feed so that was lovely. I missed him (even though he was in the next room) and dreamt about him all night!

Weight wise I am 1/2 stone lighter than I was pre-pregnancy but went shopping for jeans yesterday and that was a mistake as even the size 14 wouldn't do up on me. I am usually a 10-12. My belly is obviously still jelly! Lol! I did manage to get an outfit for Max's christening. I got a maxi dress in Oasis and shrug in Coast so that will hide my belly too. I don't think I will try on anymore jeans for at least another month :(

Max seems quite tired today although he was wide awake from about 8am to 11am this morning, he seems to be quite alert for this age but then I have no idea what is normal!

:hugs: hope Fraser has a better evening tonight and hope you feel a bit better x

I think a lovebug weightloss thread would be best as i agree this one may get taken over with diets. i like stars lol, i loved getting stickers at slimming world when i had done well :haha: im such a kid!
well done loosing 2lb!

my mil keeps telling me he isnt laughing or smiling and its wind.... i know i should just ignore her but it hurts my feelings when she says it cos i know my baby and im not a stupid person, i know the difference between a sleepy windy smile and a baby that is chuckling :growlmad:

By the way is anyone else's stitches still sore? I went to the GP today as I had an infection in mine and he gave me the all clear but mine are still stingy. I knew labour would be tough but never realised that the stiches would be so painful
