Sorry for the delayed updated. Our families are in FL and they are 2 hours ahead, so most of the morning I was talking with them about the appointment. Anyway, my doc referred me to a perinatologist (maternal specialist) without me having to ask! (Love this doc) I see him Monday or Tuesday, waiting on a call now to set up the appointment. He is hoping they will give me the steroid shot at the appointment for lung development. I follow up with my OB again on the 16th. He said there's a chance I will end up in the hospital for 24 hour monitoring at that point because of the risk of cord compression. He is hoping I will make it to 28-30 weeks at which time they will do a C-section. (Unless my fluid increases and then they will just monitor me.) As of right now, it seems that by the end of February they will have to take the baby. The baby will have to be in the NICU on a ventilator until he can breath on his own, but the doc has assured us that if they have to take him, it's because the womb is not the healthiest place any longer. I guess we will know more after seeing the specialist. I'm feeling a little better, at least I know we have somewhat of a plan and he's not expecting me to make it to 37 weeks. That is a relief, unless of course my fluid level rises, which would be even better!
