Femara success?

Sharp, welcome! I have heard of Femara causing you to ovulate early. I tend to ovulate CD 11/12 already but on Femara, I'm doing ultrasounds and OPKs to make sure I don't miss it. First cycle, I triggered and I'm doing the same this cycle but I did hear about people missing a cycle because they ovulated early.

Sib, just read you delivered your baby. Praying for you and him! Congrats!!

Hoping4Argyle - Good luck and hoping for a + for you tomorrow! GL with your IUI too!!!

My cycle averages 27 days, ranging from 25 to 29, so I guess that puts the cd9 into a more reasonable perspective :) Thanks!

alwaysmrssmit - Good luck with this cycle! I've been temping since May of last year, and I find it a helpful extra data point sometimes, but a pain in the butt sometimes too.

Lovelymo79 - I wish I could do scans to check my follies and trigger, but my OB is very hands off. I think we won't get to monitor that closely until (if/when) we get to the RS at the end of March.

Wouldn't it be nice if there was some kind of phone app that would tell you exactly when you ovulate? I am guessing triggering is the next best thing - and I can't wait to be able to do that if we don't conceive before we see the RS.

Thanks Always. I may test again tonight to be sure. The waiting is driving me crazy.

Lovely I'm sorry about your bad samples. If you don't mind me asking, do they do a semen analysis first to make sure the donors numbers and morphology is ok. My DH had to and right before the iui they tell me th number after they wash the sample.

I hope all of us have big healthy follicles on Wednesday!

Always I'm excited for you let me know how the scan goes a.

I was a little concerned this am when my opk line got a little lighter I don't know if I should test again later or just wait for tomorrow's 8:45am appointment. Ugh

Hoping4Argyle - From what I know, a +opk means you are gearing up to ovulate in the next 12-48 hrs, and the line getting lighter just means that the surge is tapering off (meaning, the positive you had you caught your LH surge), not that ovulation has happened or won't happen.

alwaysmrssmit - As good news as it may be that you're o'ing, isn't o'ing early annoying? Messes with the scheduling!!! I'd call your doc and see what they want you to do and GL!!! And tell hubby he's got a job to do (I had to bribe hubby with brownies to get him to bd last night, he wasn't feeling well either). FX this is the cycle for you!!!

Sib4Owen - I'm new to this thread but read through much of it and found so much hope and inspiration in what you have shared. Keeping you and your family in my Ts&Ps.

As for me, I think my "false positive" opk was actually a true positive - my temp spiked the day after and stayed up this morning, so FertilityFriend is gearing up to confirm ovulation on CD9 if my temp stays up tomorrow. I did have persistent cramping on my left side all night on Sunday night, and then periodic stitch-like pains on my right side most of yesterday afternoon, so maybe that was O pains? Gah! So I'm worried I ovulated too early (1 day after I finished my round of femara for this cycle). I'm mostly worried about the equality of my lining, since it didn't have much time to build up before I O'd. I did start taking baby aspirin this month for lining, so maybe that'll help?

Good luck!!!
:dust:

Spoke with the FS office today, they had me come right in, a few small follies on the right but not mature enough... 1 healthy follie measured 22mm on the left said if we waited until tomorrow it probably would have been too late for IUI... go back in the AM for DH to make deposit then I go back at 11 to receive.... Luckily we BD'd last night now we're on 24 hr hiatus so he can build up for IUI... fingers crossed that this is it... I need this to be it!!

Thx! It makes me wish my OB would do scans to monitor follies :)
My temp rose .44 degrees, then dropped a little but not much this AM. I suppose only time will tell!

That was me - I've been with my OB for a little over a year, but she's super hands off, and unconcerned that we still haven't successfully conceived. BUT, since we've been off birth control for 2 years, actively trying a full year with only a chemical pregnancy to show for it, and I'm 35 next month, hubby and I will be starting with a RS end of March (if we don't conceive by then). It's all out of pocket for us, though, as our insurance only covers pregnancy (not infertility diagnosis or treatment) so I'm hoping we do conceive and I can cancel the RS appt.

my ob/gyn never did either it took 3 miscarriages before they finally referred me to a fertility specialist .. thankfully the VA is covering it all (except IVF) did you say you were going to be seeing a different dr soon or was that someone else?

Yeah!! I'm so excited for you Always.

Sharp I hope it happens before you go yo the RS?

I'm scared for tomorrow I hope their are good follicles. One big one would be nice.

Hi everyone! Wow, I've missed a lot in the past couple of days! I don't even know where to start...Always, was your dr able to fit you in early?
Sib congratulations!! I know he was delivered earlier than expected, but it's great that he's stable. I'm keeping both of you in my prayers!:hugs:
Ibelieveitwil how exciting that your scan is coming up! I hope your little ones cooperate with you this time so you can find out the sex. Sorry you haven't been feeling well, I'm still having a bit of morning sickness myself. I hope it gets better for you soon! Can't wait for your update.
Welcome new members!! I hope all of your baby dreams come true! :dust:

Hoping, I have PCOS as well. I took femara CD3-7, and O'd on CD16 which just so happened to be New Year's Eve. My cycles are usually about 32 days. Anyway The first cycle worked for me because I got my BFP @ 10dpo. Don't give up! I thought there was no hope for me after trying for 8 yrs, but it worked! It can work for you too. Good luck!

Lovely, best of luck to you on your IUI!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you as well that this is your lucky batch and that it sticks!

Can't wait to hear everyone's updates! Afm, not much happening besides morning sickness. It isn't too bad though as long as I suck on a peppermint when I first feel I'm going to be sick. It's all so worth it though! I just got a new job as well, so hopefully that'll take my mind off of some of the waiting. I can't wait until my next scan on March 6th.! Talk to you all a little later, keep the faith, everything will work out just fine. :hugs:

I went for my scan this morning and I had one big one in my right ovary. It was 19mm. I'm so happy! I was nervous at first because when she checked my left ovary first their was was zero. The nurse said I had a 10mm but they don't count that one at this stage. I'm all set for my iui tomorrow and Friday!
