Final two week stretch - anyone with me??

Just a quick update from me to let you know I'm still not having a baby

When I saw 'just a quick update ...' I got all excited that you were going to announce a baby! Sorry your still hanging on! Must be awful for you.

It's my due date Tomoz ... I know I'm going go at least a week over though so trying not think about it to much. Got a midwife appointmeNt but she never mentioned a sweep so I don't know if ill he getting one Tomoz or not. Even though the thought if them scares the hell out of me I hope I get one lol.

9 days til DD. I've had bad period type pain most of the day today and loads of braxton hicks. My baby is still dancing around in there, no other change

If she doesn't offer you one, and you want one, just ask! If you're not favourable she won't do one so it shouldn't hurt. It's definitely weird though but hey, what's dignity to a pregnant woman. I'm not due another until Thursday but I think I'm close and one more might get it started, so I might phone in the morning and try and get in for another rummage in my cervix!

My period type cramps have been quite bad today, I just hope they are bloody doing something and it's not all for nothing.

Haha that's exactly what it feels like! Ah hope things are starting for you - are you doing anything else to try and shift baby? I'm doing everything possible apart from sex ha. I just won't put myself or hubby through an ordeal as horrific as overdue baby sex. Plus I really can't be arsed ha!!

In all fairness I haven't really done anything ... Apart from sex haha. Only twice so far .... It's waaaay too much effort though. It's the most unromantic thing ever especially when OH has to actually me to stand up afterwards haha.

I have got a birthing ball but I've only bounced once onit, it makes me feel sick and I get bored after like 5 mins haha.

I'm still prego as well. 5 more days till due date and no signs of her coming yet. Tried having sex, and wow is it awkward and funny at the same time. Birthing ball bouncing and nothing. I'm hoping for Tuesday, but guess she will be deciding that one for me. Fingers crossed and sending out labour vibes too all!!

Well I can't sleep and so I'm up drinking raspberry leaf tea and bouncing on the ball. I'm having tightenings and very mild pain so not sure if anything is happening. Probably not, but watching Come Dine With Me in the early hours is preferable to watching DH sleeping like a baby!!

Still pregnant. Getting grumpier as each day passes.

All I have is BH and only when sitting. It's really annoying because I do a lot of sitting because I have a lot of school work and studying. And my feet are becoming sausages.

So of all the days I drop my mobile down the middle of the sofa (whilst it was reclined) and my big fat belly or hands can't reach the dam thing!! Neither can I move the sofa forward or my 2 year old can reach it!!

It was this stage last pregnancy I developed pre e so bloody hope I don't get sent straight the hospital again at my midwife appointment!

Ah Spunky bless you, I've been lucky not to get any swelling this time

I think I may have lost a bit of mucus plug - but still not a lot happening!!

Hi ladies, can I join? I'm 38+3 and in the last few days I've had a lot of signs that labour could be close, but I'm guessing I'll probably still go over. Every time I have contractions I think "is this it?!" Even though I had contractions for 5 weeks with DD before going into labour, don't know why I think this time would be any different!

Hi Eleanor!! Welcome. Ooh what signs have you had?? I've had a couple of false alarms, it's so disappointing! Do you know what flavour you are having?

I haven't even had a false bloody alarm. Haven't even lost anymore plug since last week.

Before I went my appointment I checked my urine myself (I've got the strips from when I was suffering with HG to keep check on things) and noticed I had ++ protein so I did my bp and it was 139/95 so my mum said they would send me straight up the hospital. By time I got my appointment my bp came down to 130/80 so I didn't need to go up even though I have got 2+ protein.

My midwife doesn't do sweeps until 41 weeks so I've got wait tll next Monday for one!! A WHOLE week seems so far away.

Ah Laura hopefully you won't get to that next appointment! I'm resigned to making my MW appt on Thursday now. She said she didn't expect to see me but I think I'm going to surprise her ha,!

BabyJayne I have an appointment tomorrow morning with midwife, hopefully will get my second sweep.
