Hi friends,

So excited - got my BfaintP yesterday at 9 dpo - and this morning an official BFP at 10 dpo. I became a bit obsessed while TTC this time (this is #2) and thought I'd share what I did differently this month. Who knows if they helped but I loved posts like this so here it is.

I went to acupuncture starting right around AF - a fertility specialist acupuncturist. He gave me herbs (yang tonic) to take morning and night. I saw him once a week during this cycle. He put me on a fertility diet. No cold drinks or food. I would take hot water and combine it with cool water every time I drank water (keeps womb warm - blood flowing) I didn't run around the house in bare feet. Always warm fuzzy socks and even ugg boots (in July in CA no less!) The points in your feet connect to your uterus and dr wanted them warm as much as I could. I took about two tablespoons of royal jelly every morning and chased it with lots of warm water. My fertility diet... around ovulation especially.. lots of eggs and avocado as they help with quality of EWCM. I was 95% dairy free (so hard!) This acupuncturist thinks if you have any clots in your AFs or cramps you have a dairy allergy. I ate eggs with avocado almost every night (very good btw!) I also ate TONS of yams (sweet potatoes) the orange center kind. Ladies in Africa eat tons of yams and they have a huge rate of twins - apparently yams are great for your ovulation/ovaries/egg quality. Doc also told me to eat a cucumber every day (I microwaved it to make it warm.. crazy stuff we do I tell ya) I had pineapple (and core) after ov. I put Maca powder in hubs smoothie every day. I put a bit smashed into yams for me but only after Ov because acupuncturist said it ups progesterone. I did not drink ANY coffee - only dandelion root tea caffeine free. I stopped coffee cold turkey (another tough one) I also did the SMEP. Not to the T but close. It was my first try with that. OH - the hardest part was I cut down on my wine. I used to have a few glasses during the week with my hubs after work. This cycle I only had wine on the weekends (I also snuck in some dairy on the weekends - gotta live a little!) So it makes me feel good I still had wine and enjoyed myself and still conceived. One last thing you'll all love to hear - I DID NOT RELAX! haha! I obsessed just as much as I always do! I could not do the whole "relax - when your'e not thinking about it it will happen".. just couldn't. :haha: Anyway, any Qs I am here for you. It was a bunch of new stuff this cycle but something may have helped!

Oh - and as for symptoms DPO... pretty much nothing! I had slight cramps at 8 dpo, very faint (doc said probably implantation), and one day I craved peanut butter SO bad very randomly. Went to the pantry stuck in a big spoon and ate it while standing at the sink. Very weird. And smells are strong. But that is it!

I just posted a thread asking if anyone had any success with acupuncture! How many sessions did you have?

Oh really Ajangel? That's so funny. I went to acu with this new doctor only three times before my BFP. I have another appt this Friday. I know acupuncture is also good after your BFP because it helps hold the baby and keep the blood flowing. I highly believe in acupuncture! Look up fertility specializing acupuncturists around you. I went to another acupuncturist before this one that was great, but did not specialize in fertility and didn't have as much knowledge about what to do specifically for my issue. I also had been getting acupuncture when I got pregnant with my DD btw!

Oh wow awesome now I'm exited!! I did find one that specializes in it and she even told me to bring my BBT chart so I think she will be knowledgeable. My first appt is Friday so I hope it works as good for me as it did for you! :) and congratulations!!

Ajangel! Yes that's a great sign! I forgot to mention that. I also charted and brought my printed chart from FF to the acupuncturist every week! He analyzed it and put in points according to what he thought I needed! Herbs too! I am so hopeful for you! I really believe in it!!!

Congratulations!!! :))) Happy for you!

Also, thank you so much for sharing! I love reading these informational accounts too. Helpful and inspiring! I hope to share mine soon when I'm there. (Maybe this month?!)
