:hi:

When have you given you LOs finger foods?
I have read somewhere its when they start grabbing for your food and she does.
She is 6 months so when is the right time?

Also when can they have toast ?

i would let her have toast now, but without butter, and if u think shes ready, start off with finger foods now

I was confused by this, why can't she add butter to the toast? My LO has had butter on her toast since six months and the Hv recommended it as you aren't supposed to cut out fat?

I is confuzzled . . .

Found this an interesting read.

Also, you have made me REALLY want Wotsits.

i started rhys at 5 1/2 months with finger food

Bella has toast and butter and yesterday she had cooked carrot sticks, some broccoli and green beans all as finger food and coped very well. We also started giving her the organix rice cakes and they are her favourite. I'd say trust your instinct and test the water with her. if she copes ok then go for it

Sam started finger foods at 6 months but he's been having loads more since he was 7 months. I was really worried about him choking at first as he'd try to put it all in at once but the organix carrot sticks are great because they're easy to hold and they go soft quite quickly - he loves them! x
