First baby, first trimester, and really nervous!

The GP will just refer you to the midwife
The midwife will see you for your booking at about 9 weeks and then you will have your 1st scan at about 12 weeks. (I'm a midwife!) Xx

I hope you don't mind if I join you? I took a pregnancy set on 24th august and it turned out to be BFP. Im over the moon. We had been trying for 8 cycles and I go to acupuncture for ttc. So far I've had no symptoms and it all seems a little surreal somehow. not sure what the next stage is, do I book in with my doctor ASAP or do I wait? Please an anyone advise on what happens next. Thanks.

Congratulations! I don't think you need to see the GP anymore, you can just refer straight to the midwife, but they won't see you for about a month yet. Call your GP to double check xx

My symptoms currently are: sore boobs, and already look larger/fuller, achy crampy stomach, had a couple of dizzy spells, and I'm need to pee a little more often, I'm also feeling hungry in the middle of the night?? Lol
xXx

Hi Srbn7! My due date is also the 25th April!:happydance: so far i just feel queasy throughout the day. fine when i eat but queasy when i'm not. i have achy side boobs and i am peeing A LOT more then normal. i thought i might of had a UTI but i'm pretty sure i don't. there was just one occasion when i felt i had to go but not much came out! Good luck for your doctors appointment! i am english but live in Sydney. at mine they just took my bloods and gave me a referral letter for a scan. oh and confirmed my pregnancy with a pee test as hubby would believe me haha!

Yes when i sit or lay down..my tail bone and buttock is kinda bothersome too. Try sitting on pillows..it kinda helps!

Well we stayed at my parents last night as we have a family party today and we dont live near to my side of the family. It was sooo hard not to say anything to my sister & parents, I feel so excited and want to tell them and I have so many questions I could ask my mum but dh really wants to wait to tell family. Its soooooo hard!!

Poppy, I told my mom right away, although we haven't told hubby's family yet. My mom and I are super close (we talk about 3-4 times a week), and it would just be ridiculous not to tell her. This will be her first grandkid, and she's desperate for them. She actually told my SIL, before her wedding to my brother, "You know, you can be 3-4 months pregnant in that wedding dress and no one will be able to tell." But they decided not to have kids.

Anyway, for us, my relationship with my mom is pretty special, so I got OH's dispensation to tell her really early. A girl needs her mom in times like this!!!
