First Time Mommies Due February 2016 - Anyone Want to Join Me?

Hi ladies,
I am pregnant with my first (after almost 11 months of trying). I was hoping to connect with other first-time mommies who will also be due next February. Here we can share our symptoms, fears, thoughts, etc. of being pregnant for the first time. Anyone want to join me? My EDD is February 9.

I love the other February Lovebugs thread, but agree with many other ladies that it moves too fast! And also most of the comments are from ladies who have already had babies before. I will still stay on there though and hope starting this thread doesn't hurt any feelings .

This is my first after 10 months of trying! So far only symptoms are fatigue, sore breasts/nipples, and all-over cramping sensations near the uterus (some feel rectal as well). It seems strange to have so few symptoms but hey, if I can avoid morning sickness, AWESOME. I had stomach problems as a youngster so I am afraid of vomiting.

Hii! I like the other thread too, buy it would be nice e to have some first time bump buddies.

I have PCOS and we were ntnp for a few years then official TTC for about a year. This was our first month on femara and I am overjoyed that it worked so quickly. I should be die around Feb. 18th.

So far my symptoms are similar to duster girl. Mostly just sore bbs\nipples, light cramping, and I am having a hard time sleeping though I'm exhausted all the time.

Hi dustergrl! I feel pretty similar with maybe even fewer symptoms. No fatigue, just some AF-like cramps sometimes and tender boobs, and some issues sleeping. I'll be 6 weeks in two days so I hope I start feeling more. Don't want to be puking all the time though. I too have a sensitive stomach. Thanks for joining me!

I remember you too! Congrats to you as well! Can you believe we are finally here? It still seems so surreal.

Has anyone had it confirmed with the doctor? I go tomorrow for my scheduled blood test at my fertility doctor. I'm getting good lines but am going to be nervous until they tell me all is OK so I can shout it to the world. Lol

After 2 positives, I contacted my dr, and she ordered a blood test for me right away.

Jules - I know it doesn't feel real most of the time! No my doctor's appointment isn't until July 6. I wasn't being monitored for anything yet. In fact, I was just about to make an appointment with a fertility clinic when I got my BFP. I'm nervous too that they won't see anything!

It'll be nice to have your progress checked by a doctor, Jules. Thinking good thoughts for some nice results for you!

I woke up pretty gassy this morning, and some nausea. And yesterday I took a 2 hour nap in the evening. So maybe my classic pregnancy symptoms are starting to kick in. I bought Sea Bands for the nausea, which my friend who is now in her 2nd trimester said worked really well for her. Also I have a family event tonight where I'll have to pretend to be able to drink. DH and I already have it planned out - if it would seem weird if I don't accept a drink, I'll accept and only take a sip or two and DH will sneakily drink it for me. We're telling the family on Father's Day so I only have to pretend for 6 more days!

Do any of you ladies have your first appointment set up yet?
I just got a call today that I've been set up with a midwife and have my first appointment on July 21st, when I will be 10 weeks.
It seems so far away. I don't know how I'll be able to wait 6 more weeks.

Mine's on July 6, which will be 1 day before 9 weeks for me. I know it's so hard to wait so long! And that's the earliest they would give you? When I was making the appointment they said they usually make it for around 8-10 weeks.

Yea, July 21st is the earliest they had available to me.
We are extremely short on midwives in my city, so they get booked early, and back-to-back.
I guess I should just be happy that I was able to get set up with one.
But I'm so impatient.

Ughhh...so much for the bloods making me feel better. HCG is only 35, which is pretty low and progesterone is still a bit low despite me taking it. I have to wait until Friday to go again to see if my levels are increasing like they should. Now I am going to be freaking out all week! Def. not stopping the store tests now.

Thexfadingpat - I hear ya. Sorry for the long wait, but hopefully the time will start passing faster for you.

Jules - Aww man! I know, I'm afraid to poas now. I haven't had any bloods or anything but I just don't want to stress about it. But hey, as long as you're not bleeding then you should be ok for now. FX your levels are much higher on Friday and your little seed sticks!

Just got a hold of my OBGYN and she is sending an order for repeat bloods for tomorrow so I don't have to wait til Friday...shewww. This first time mommy stuff is stressful!!!

My symptoms have pretty much stayed the same which has been comforting...just are worse in the evenings for some reason. I wake up panicked because I think they are gone then as the day goes on it gets worse and worse. The only thing in the morning so far is waking up at 5a.m. I don't know if it's a normal thing or just nerves, but I am wide awake at that time the past 3 days then if I drift back to sleep I have really weird dreams. lol

Jules8 - Yay I'm glad you'll get another test so soon! And that the ladies on the other board have been so helpful to calm your concerns . Some of my symptoms (when I have them) increase throughout the day too. Mostly just the sore boobs and mild cramps. I often wake up in the morning feeling totally normal. I don't have nausea today.

This is a duplicate from the LoveBugs thread but wanted to post here too...

I just got this big packet in the mail for my first appointment on July 6. But I saw it's with this nurse I saw last fall when my cycles were getting longer and longer and wanted help. She basically said there's nothing they can do and just be patient, and didn't run any tests and just blew me off. So now I'm waiting for a call back to see if they can shift some things around so I can see someone else. I don't want to delay my appointment though so unless they just say that they switched a couple of things so I'm at the same time but with a different nurse, then I'll just have to see her. Ugh. She just wasn't very helpful or took my concerns seriously. Thank goodness I found Vitex on my own and fixed my own problems!

Oh yeah, I totally have that weird waking up early thing too. Have had that since getting my BFP nearly 2 weeks ago. Usually it's around 4-something or 5-something and then I can go back to sleep. One Sunday I was just wide awake so I watched almost two movies until DH woke up, lol. But weirdly I'm not overly exhausted. I've only had two random days where I got really tired but that's it. I can totally see how ladies who aren't paying attention to their cycles would not know that they're pregnant.

Every forum I have been in is so supportive..it's awesome. Definitely not like some other sites like this.

I know we will have some repeated stuff on both boards. It seems to have calmed down enough to where I can actually follow stuff. I think so many new and excited people started so it kind of exploded for a few days. lol

I don't blame you for wanting to switch nurses. It is what you feel comfortable with. This will be your first appt. ever for baby so it should be with someone that you are worried isn't going to blow off your questions/concerns. Just see what they say, you might not have to wait and if you do maybe it won't be that much of a delay.
