First Timer looking for others in the first tri to chat

Weather delayed my scan another 2 weeks. Originally 1/4 and now 1/22!

Ladies great news, my nausea is really disappearing. It's night and day how much better I feel. I've been to the gym 3 times the last week! I have some morning nausea and queasy moments but compared to before this is nothing. I'm hoping this is my new normal because I missed feeling like myself!

I'm terrified because my nausea was very severe yesterday and now I'm not feeling much. It's awful to wait an additional 2 weeks for the ultrasound now. I don't want to feel sick but it would be reassurance as I wait the additional 2 weeks.

Starlight - I had a couple days (literally maybe 3-4) from weeks 6-11 where I felt okay. Not 100% but okay. I would get nervous and them bam, the next day would be hell. I hope that's the same for you, as it's totally normal for symptoms to fluctuate and come and go!

That really sucks about the scan delay, Starlight. Could you maybe check around for private places? They are a bit pricey though, but I find that if I really need an ultrasound for peace of mind, I'd be willing to pay it. Big hugs to you... I'm sure everything will be ok :hugs:

Alligator that's great that you're feeling better! I've noticed my nausea has been lifting a bit. I still need Diclegis once a day but I have had a couple days where I felt pretty much back to normal. Well... as normal as you can feel being pregnant lol. Considering that I didn't have ANY good days a few weeks ago, this is a big improvement!

lilmiss - I still take my meds. I'm taking 4 a day and terrified to stop because now that I feel good the thought of feeling miserable again is something I can't fathom! I see the OB tonight and I'm going to ask his advice but I am thinking of weaning down to 2 a day (one at night, one in the morning) around week 15 and seeing how that goes...then from there a couple weeks later just take one at night, and so on.

There are no private places in the US. The dr does all ultrasounds.

Star - how frustrating! I’m sorry you have to keep waiting! :(

Alligator - that’s great news! I am already sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. 8 weeks tomorrow. Late afternoon is the worst for me but I have a hard time stomaching anything all day but I just manage to eat small meals/snacks to get by. Something will sound good and I’ll take a few bites and then my appetite is gone. Can’t wait for second tri!

Jello Thurs isnt far away goodluck I have everything crossed for you that it all goes well keep us posted xx

Kaykes whats GERD if you dont mind me asking xx I hope all goes well at your scan it feels amazing getting that letter from the fertility clinic signing you off to your Dr and Im sure all will be okay and your body will just naturally take over if it didnt they wouldn't take you off the drugs xx

Star thats so frustrating I hope it goes quickly for you try not to panic I agree with alligator symptoms fluctuate so it could be that thry also say once the umbilical cord takes over your symptoms pass too and you are at that stage so it could be that too xx

Alligator and caviar glad your symptoms are nearly gone and you can start to enjoy pregnancy xx

Ask that sounds awful you should ask your Dr for some meds to help with the sickness xx

Sorry for TMI but last two days Ive been able to go the toilet and it feels amazing this constipation can do one makes me feel so bloated and groggy hopefully its going away now but if its starts up again Im going the Drs to get something for it xx

Angela - yay for everything moving in there! Constipation is the worst! Usually progesterone causes major issues for me in the TWW so assumed I'd have trouble this whole time. I don't know if the extra high levels have offset that for me, or if acupuncture is helping. GERD is gastroesophageal reflux disease (the fancy term for aid reflux). I was formally diagnosed about 10 years ago, but it probably explains why I was a terrible baby too (my poor mother, I basically cried my whole first year, until I was walking). Now they treat babies for it, but didn't know to diagnose or treat it back in the 80s. Defintiely will be on the lookout for my baby.

Curious for you other ivf mommas, when are they stopping your meds?

Angela - glad you’ve had some relief! I seem to be back to normal too - yay! Haha.

MK - I believe I’m on them until (or through?) 12 weeks. Seems like a lot of people stop around 10 weeks.

Same! Stupid snow!

Mine is rescheduled for this Thursday though, as I have my first prenatal appointment that day and the scan needs to be done beforehand. I'm super excited to see the little guy/gal! I hope everything is alright in there. I woke up super, super nauseous this morning, so I'm willing to bet they're happy as a clam lol.

And, this is going to sound stupid, but for some reason I'm convinced its twins. Twins do run in the family on my mother's side and I'm much more sick this time around with this baby than I was two years ago with my son - I wasn't sick at all. We'll know for sure on Thursday! Fingers crossed for just one healthy little baby!

So exciting jello! Keep us posted <3

Last day of first tri for me, ladies. I hope you don't mind if I stick around to follow each of you on your pregnancies?!

I am very lucky that I never had any constipation issues...if anything, thus far, pregnancy has made me more regular. Definitely some gas issues and bloating though!

Jello so exciting I have everything crossed for you goodluck xx

In relation to IVF I had a natural FET which meant no drugs at all just the FET was worked around my natural body clock as according to all tests there is no reason as to why we cant have kids its called unexplained infertility they think we have a hormone imbalance meaning my DHS sperm cant read my eggs and just swim past rather than at them xx

Alligator please stick around be lovely to hear from you and keep track on how your doing and congrats on hitting the second tri mark xx

I Have just realised I haven’t joined into this and I don’t know why! Im on the august group but not this one. I’m abit late to the party can I come in? 😄 I’m due number 3 on the 2nd of August!

Hello Ladies ,
I just find out Monday I'm expecting a little bean and couldn't be more excited about it . I'm not sure how far along I am , and haven't told anyone in my family yet . But am itching to . How many weeks do I need to be before I am able to get an ultrasound where I can get a good picture of my little one?

Ele welcome and congrats xx

I had my first scan at 7wks and 4 days and my profile pic is the scan pic I only had an early scan due to going through IVF but your first scan is usually around the 10-13 wk mark before you head off into the 2nd tri xx

Obviously the closer to 12 wks you have the scan the more detailed it will be but from 6wks onwards you should be able to see a heartbeat and from that they can tell how far gone you are and give you your due date xx

Tell us about you is this your first were are you from xx

Also if your from Englad inf your gp asap and if youve ever had an MC you can request an early reassurance scan due to your loss in the past x

Alligator, do stick around, yay for 2nd tri!

:hi: Hi Ele and Jennifer! Congrats!

So, we had our 2nd ultrasound today. Everything looked great! Heartbeat was over 170, baby actually looks more like a baby you could make out the head and rump. We even got to see a little wiggle a couple of times! Its feeling so much more real now! It was my last visit with the fertility clinic, kind of bittersweet. I've had the same 2 NPs doing my ultrasounds since March and I love them. Hopefully I love the staff at the OB clinic as much!

MKaykes - so exciting you got to see babe again! It's just the best, especially when baby looks like a baby and not a blob lol. A cute blob but still.
