It's scan day ladies!

By my own calculations, I should be about 8w6d but we will find out for sure in a few hours. And we will also find out if 1 bean or 2. Twins run in my family, so you never know lol. Either way, fingers crossed that he/she/they are healthy and thriving!

On another note: my poor son is currently recovering from the stomach bug. He started vomiting Tuesday night into Wednesday morning (7 pm - 3 am), slept most of Wednesday, and has slept a majority of today as well. My poor baby

I'm so sorry to hear about your son, Jello. That darn stomach bug is going around. My oldest DD had it earlier and then my younger DD got it about a week ago. Hope he gets over it soon and fx that it stays away from you! Good luck for your scan

Thanks ladies! DS is currently sleeping on top of me...poor kid! He's recovering though.

The scan went well! I'm a day ahead of what I thought, so 9 weeks today Heart was beating at 135

I do have a small sch, so they'll be keeping an eye on it, but they said it was nothing to worry about.

Thanks Angela! A sch is a subchorionic hemorrhage. The doctor called it an implantation bleed too.

So my ticker says that I'm already in the second trimester... however I thought that the second trimester started at 13 weeks (and I think some ladies on here wait until 14 weeks to move over)?

Caviar I think they say from 14 wks its safe to tell people, and I thought it was 13wks too when you hit the 2nd tri xx

It's confusing, isn't it? I think I'll just wait until 14 weeks to be on the safe side. I still haven't announced yet. Was hoping to get another ultrasound first. My doctor unfortunately isn't giving me another scan until I'm 20 weeks so if I want an ultrasound before then, I have to get one at a private place. I want to get one at 14/15 weeks because that's the soonest most places will check gender but I'm having a hard time finding someone to watch the other kids so we'll just have to see. The last time I had an ultrasound I had to take the kids with me and the little ones cried the entire time so I don't want to go through that again, but at the same time I'd also hate to wait to announce until 20 weeks.

I'm feeling in such an unknown state until I see the ultrasound. 8 more days unless it's rescheduled again.

AFM, trucking along at 9 weeks +. Just under 3 weeks until my first OB appt. I have no idea if I'll get another scan then, but I'd be happy with the doppler to hear the heartbeat. I would think since it is an hour long appt and my first with then they'd do an ultrasound.

My heartburn is terrible. It had replaced my nausea but I'm vomiting due to the heartburn. At least woth this I feel better after puking. The last couple weeks it didn't matter if I threw up or not. I talked to a co worker today who is early 2nd tri and she said she felt like a whole new person. So, people at work know I'm pregnant...2 different occasions any complaints of weakness, tiredness or upset stomach I got "Are you pregnant "? So figured I'd just be honest. And I knew she'd be sympathetic to what I'm going through.

MKaykes my work know too now I am tired alot and due to my job Im not allowed to do certain things now Im pregnant as you have to be risk assessed so it was becoming obvious to people when I couldnt do certain stuff plus Im already out of most of my work clothes Ive already developed a bump xx my 12 wk scan is still 16 days away it feels like forever I just want that scan now feel like Im getting impatient xx
