five year old missing!!

I'm about 20 minutes away from machynlleth and the rain tonight is bad. On and off, but when it is raining it's very heavy, which isn't going to help the river levels tomorrow :(

it's absolutely heartbreaking

Hope they find her tomorrow. The support for her family must be overwhelming x

I feel at a complete loss at the moment...

Only a couple of weeks ago a 23 year old girl from work was brutally murdered and left in a burning car.. And then now this!

At work we had a call out to fix a floor scrubbing machine in the village!! This was days before it happened... I can remember trying to pronounce the name! Our engineer cannot attend the job as they are using it as a police base and setup.

I want to believe she's still alive, maybe hidden with someone else??!

What kind of world are we bringing our children into?

The support for them is really humbling, even my own. 2 brothers have been out searching (I'd injured my ankle in London so didnt want to hold them back if I hurt myself) and me and mum have been sharing information on fb when we've been online.

People from all over the country have been turning up with food, drinks and food for the dogs and the local mountain warehouse store took over waterproofs, torches, batteries etc.

I love this place and it probably seems very naive, but you would honestly never have thought of something like this happening

I think what the volunteers have been doing is amazing, just shows how a community can come together in times of need.
It makes me cry everytime i see it on the news that they still haven't found her & i know if i lived closer & had the money to travel i'd be doing what i could too as many other people surely feel.
I keep a pink bow tied on my bag now to show my support.
There's always that glimmer of hope no matter how bleak the situation, just need to keep that glimmer shining :flower:

Well today's the day.. will he be charged or released? :nope: I hope there's enough evidence to put whoever did this to April away for the rest of their life. I hope after some rest and a new day they will be looking with fresh eyes and will be able to find her. Huge :hugs: to everyone.

I hope they can charge him. Well probably never know what evidence they have that allows them too though.

Has there been any more news? I won't have the news on when kids are awake x

I don't think they searched overnight last night so probably no news.

Another of no news. I really hoped that no news was good news but it isn't. That was the fourth night I've brough summer in to bed. But this is just too upsetting.

He took April to the seaside in August with someone else...I'm not sure he did it....would explain the DNA in his van....xx

Yes he took her crabbing with his children. Just doesn't make sense. Unless he has had a complete mental breakdown but why her

I'm sorry but I don't think the police are that stupid. It's only just come out that he knew April and took her places but they probably knew that from the start as they would have asked the family. They were looking for him from day 1 because his vehicle was indentified. It was obviously well known. There is probably alot more to it than a hair or something inside his car. You don't suspect someone of murder for a minor detail.

I agree, they must have evidence to go on.

I may be wrong but is it not slander to accuse someone without evidence?

I'd imagine that's what it may be if they were to charge him with no evidence, but that's pretty much impossible. At the moment he is only held on suspicion of it which they obviously have reason to do so, so no I don't think so. :flower:
