five year old missing!!

I've just seen the interview with Kay Burley, and I gotta say she was kinda ambushed.

It was live and she wsan't aware the people she was interviewing didn't know the latest news.
I dunno this may go against public opinion but I felt she handled it well in a difficult situation

I also think she handled well as to me it seemed the woman overheard her discussing it with someone else and then when kay stopped talking to that person the local woman went upto her crying because what she just heard and kay confirmed it her friend then came over to see why local wpman was crying and kay told her kay was tryig to console the woman she was rubbing her back she seemed genuinely sorry theydidnt already know and it was awkward i dont thibk it was done on purpose but thats my opinion.

Was hoping for some sort of news this morning. Had LO in bed with us last night, when we picked him up from school yesterday we had a letter saying 2 pupils had been approched by a man in a van. Honestly cannot believe what the world is coming to:(

While i cant believe what has happened, and i pray for april and her family, its the coming weeks i am frightened for, all those sickos who might try the same. X

Do you think people will do the same? I know we had a similar situation here where the schools were all warned a few weeks back as an attempted abduction happened at a primary school not far from me....then it happened somewhere else by what looked like the same person. What the hell is wrong with people. These are little children. What kind of world are we living in? Its unreal :(

I dont believe people will do the same. Abduction is very rare, and the person who does it has to have some serious problems, they wont just wake up and think oh that guy did it so I will too.

I wouldn't say that  That's scare mongering. Just because something like this has happened, doesn't mean it will start being more commonplace or it's going to happen where you are. Infact, the fact that most people get caught in these kind of cases and the national publicity it has recieved may make them think twice.. Abduction is rare, but this just reminds us all once again to remain vigilant in knowing where our children are and who they're interacting with. It's so heartbreaking but it doesn't mean I will live my life in fear. That's how people like that win :nope:

...and if you look at this and other cases its not a stranger usually..its very often someone they know and someone close to the family.

In Aprils case, he had befrended her...he had taken her on holiday with her children..im sure i read that on here. I reckon there is way more to this case than we know undoubtedly.

I thought it was a day trip rather than holiday.

I've just read else where that Mark Bridger's father was a serving policeman.

Feeling slightly nervous (not sure if that's even the right word) but time is moving real fast now and a decision has to be made on whether to charge or release MB

Hi girls, just got in from work and still no news :nope:

When is the next update? Is it 3pm or is that when they have to make a decision?

There is going to be a news conference at 3pm so we believe this is when it will be announced x

They have said though that because of time constraints they exepct it around 3pm but no later than 5.30pm

The last i read the next pc is between 3pm and 5pm. So maybe keep a close eye on news near to 3pm incase its resceduled or something. X

How's everyone feeling now?

Ive Accepted shes no longer with us, after all they would never had said they were looking for a body if they werent sure... but I'm just hoping now that she had a fast painless death...
I also really hope now they find her body. Her family NEED her body :nope:
I remember the mum saying about her little boy who drowned after falling off the slipway into the sea a few months back that having his body back brought such a sense of relief and there was a closure. I so hope Aprils mummy and daddy get that and she can have the funeral she deserves xx

Oh and im not trying to scaremonger anybody. Its just my own personal opinion and feelings, as stuff like this, robberys etc scare me constantly. Im one of those people who check doors 3 times before going to bed. And dont very often go out on my own. I recently allowed my eldest to walk from school on his own, this was a big step for me. But now due to aprils case have stopped letting him. X
