Hi I have a quick question, if I had the flu before Christmas, is it safe to get the flu jab now? Just found out I am pregnant but not sure if I should get jab? Do I have immunity? I guess maybe to one stesin but not others? Flu epidemic where I live, freaky g out I will get it again!

Yes it's safe to get the flu jab, and I would recommend it over having the flu in 1st tri- I was literally bedridden

Yes it's very safe. I've had it done a few weeks ago and did with my last pregnancy too x

There are different strains every year, so having it once won't protect you from the others. I had the shot early on in my pregnancy and it was the first year I didn't catch the flu. This year's shot is only supposed to be around 20-25% effective I think, but I'd still opt for it since it's still some protection. The flu sucks and I can only imagine how much worse it is while pregnant!

Thanks!! I think because I just had the flu it is still fresh in my mind how horrible it is! Really don't want it again!
