Flu shot?

I got my flu shot at my last appointment. My midwife recommended it, and I picked my midwife office because I agree with their philosophies and trust them to know more than I do about these things. They're generally very hands-off with unnecessary interventions, so I know they wouldn't blindly recommend it. It protects me from catching the flu, and it will also pass some immunity onto my baby when he's born. As an added bonus, it will protect my baby nephew, who was born early last October and who I see at least once a week. I'll be getting my tdap in the third trimester for the same reason.

I don't know if it's advised to wait til second trimester, since I was already in second trimester when flu season started. I know for the tdap they said third trimester, I believe because it passes on the most immunity to the baby. But that might be different if I wasn't personally up to date on that one.
