Awww, Angel, David is such a big beautiful boy! Hoping and praying he continues to get stronger and have the transplant. Did they say at what age they look to do the transplant or is it all dependent on David's health or when a heart comes in.

You never know, maybe when your dh gets back and u least expect something could happen. Does he tell u why he doesn't want anymore kids? Or at this point in life he wants to relax or happy with having Stefan and Pierce in his life (meaning his life feels complete at this point). My dh doesn't want me to have anymore babies because of how much pregnancy affects my health (autoimmune lupus like flareups). If I worked on my well being and got my health back in like a year, maybe... who knows.

So you'd have another Jess? That's so amazing! I think large families are amazing! Wish my DH & I had started sooner...I have lots of "if only" thoughts *daydreamer* DH says no because he knows how much work it was in the beginning and for selfish reasons (he now has his wife back, I had a booby baby for a year). I'm ok with it now...I look forward to the adventures we'll have. PLUS Stefan is probably only 7 years from starting a family---Heaven help me!!

Oh and David can have a transplant as soon has a heart becomes available...sad to think someone else will have to lose their baby to save my nephew David is in heart failure, has only ever known CHOP. He has time and time again defied the odds...little fighter.

Wow, imagine u will have a daughter in law soon then. Are things very serious between Stefan and his gf? I can't wait until Alyssa has a boyfriend...sigh. Please please let her choose nice guys. Sometimes I fear she will like the bad boy types. I tell her go for a nice boy that has a good over his shoulders. I tell her, those guys that u think are "nerds"..... a lot of them make fantastic bfs and husbands!!

Wow, the problems are just mounting up over here. Natalie is almost 10 and starting to get very self conscious about her body. She is not a skinny girl, poor girl is a bit overweight and is feeling bad about it. On top of it Sophia is very thin and I think it bothers Natalie that she is basically the opposite than Sophie in physical appearance. My Natalie is so so pretty and I always try to make her feel beautiful. I am starting to get outsiders comment on why the 3 girls look so different. When I say different I mean none of them look alike, even though Nat and Sophie are full sisters even they look radically different. Gosh, U would think with all the blended families out there people would keep their comments to their selves. Sorry to vent. Just annoyed and sad that Natalie is getting close to the beginning of puberty. With her mental illness I feel these next few years will be very hard on her. Aly was only 11 when she got her period and I am so hoping Natalie will be older than Aly was. Anyways, so so sorry to vent ladies.

Poor Natalie Jess. You're a great Mama, you are doing a fab job with your girls! Others who make comments are just rude! I was going to say it must be a west coast thing, then I thought of the comments people make about Pierce's blond hair "Where'd he get that blond hair?" "Who has blond hair?" What if our kids were adopted or from donor eggs...it could be offensive.

So I recently found out from Aly that people were spreading rumors that She was adopted and that I am not her biological mother. Now, that really pissed me off. I use to get those comments all the time when she was a baby. But I didn't think people were still saying these things. When certain people she knows meet me, afterwards they tell her, "You look nothing like your mom!!" Many of her friends that meet Sophia, "You look nothing like your sister. Why is she white? No, shes not your sister!! Look at her hair!!" Poor Aly. I feel that these people are going to start giving her a complex or already have given her one. This definitely is not a colorblind world we live in.

In other news, the terrible twos have definitely kicked in. She thrown a few pretty bad tantrums at the store. But she is also talking up a storm now. So I am very thankful for that. I was very worried about her lack of speaking. Now she speaks in full sentences and is starting to pronounce things very very well. I guess she was just a late bloomer!

I agree Jess that unfortunately the world is not completely colorblind. I also think you are a great mother and do all that you can for your girls. Forget those people and their stupid comments. I know easier said than done but I too have to be prepared to have a convo with our child as I don't know if he will look like me or DH. Massive hugs

Thx Amy. I am sure your son will be a combo of you and your dh. So he will def be beautiful inside and out. Oddly Alyssa took completely after my ex, she looks nothing like me, but she has my exact build and she is even taller than me. My ex is 5'7" the same height as me and for some crazy genetic reason Aly is 5'9". So u never know with genetics.

Took the girls to a beautiful beach overlooking the Golden Gate bridge and we had to leave right away because believe it or not Sophia is terrified of ocean and especially the sand. She is absolutely terrified of sand and just by the sight of it she completely lost it. She CANNOT touch sand or grass. But what is very strange is that she was terrified of the sand even though my dh was carrying her. She also didn't want him walking on the sand. Was even scared of the dust from the sand. I thought she might outgrow this by now but its getting worse. Her ped is aware of this but brushed it off. Time to find a new ped for her.

Oh Amy your son is going to be a stunner!! Stefan's Dad is from South America and Stefan is the male version of Snow White! Ha! Dark kinda curly hair and lily white skin, he fries in the sun. A 180 of his padre!

Jess ~ Ally can't catch a break! I'm still in shock of how people can be so rude! My gf is Mexican and her OH is polish, she was afraid her baby would be white and people would think she was the nanny. Its so silly...tell Ally to ignore the comments, people often talk the most of those they are jealous of!

So when DH gets home we're off to St Thomas! I'm still weeks away from it, but I just finalized the details! We were going to do Turks & Caicos but the flights were longer. I don't want to tortute everyone on the plane OR him so less than 6hrs is the ticket! I'm excited to get away before the hustle of the holidays!

As for David. He has a permanent trach that breathes for him. He has good days and bad days. He does not eat orally, he is fed by the tube you see running through his nose (NG tube). They have signed a DNR, so no CPR if his heart stops. Last I heard he was on full doses of all meds to aid his heart now as he waits for a transplant. My brother is now playing single Dad with my niece since school started (my sis had her all summer). My SIL remains in Pennsylvania with David. This little fella is a miracle!

Oh wow Angel. I did notice Stefan looked dark haired in the pic, but def looks like a white boy. I bet he looks like u, handsome boy by the way. Him and Pierce are both handsome. Does Stefan speak Spanish? When people find out Natalie and Sophie are 75% salvadorean they are usually shocked. Lol. Natalie has a beautiful light pinkish tanned color but looks more like me, but Sophie took all of my fathers genes (English and Irish) and people are usually puzzled by her look (only she seems like she will be able to tan.. so far only burns) I dont think it bothers my dh that she looks like that and thankfully nobody has said anything overtly racist to him.... yet. I think having so many different cultures in the world makes it such a beautiful place. It would be such a boring place if we were all the same. Would love to travel the world one day. Europe would be my #1 destination. Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden etc.. so many amazing cultures!!!

Ohhhh, your vacay sounds so amazing Angel. Are u taking Pierce or having a family member watch him? You and your dh really need this vacation!!! So glad you are taking time for each other.

David really is a miracle. Have u had the chance to meet him in person yet?
