I know Halloween is a whiles a way but do any of you have a costume picked out for your los? Is it my imagination or is every holiday more and more commercialized every year that goes by. Before you know it, its going to be Thanksgiving and then Christmas.

Good Morning ladies!

Laura, hope you enjoyed your birthday! :) How is S doing? I too hate being asked about kids. I think this experience has really helped me to understand what to ask and not to ask but also reminds me that there are people that are living in ignorant bliss. They never had to endure what we have to I TRY and give them that benefit but it still hurts. Big hugs hun... its rough. :(

Angel, Im so glad to hear that David is fighting but Im really praying that he can get a new heart. Must be to hard for your SIL and bro.. cant even imagine. :( Thoughts and prayers to them always.

Jess, Sorry to hear about Natalie's issue with water and sand. I too hope that she can someone work through it and be able to enjoy the water and sand soon. There are so many beautiful places to see in the world that contain these things that I wouldn't want her to miss out on. :hugs:

Bethany, Always thinking of you and L <3

Leslie, if you are still reading here, hope you and the girls are well!

Happy hump day all!

Re: Halloween
I've a friend who every year gives her son a themed birthday party. This year was super Heroes. I bought Pierce the Thor costume thinking I could reuse it...that was in April. He is too big for it now :dohh: I was browsing costume ideas online and a robot caught Pierce's eye. It's all he talks about...I'll probably do that for him.

Went for pedi's w/ my BFF and her future mother in law. My Weds sitter, aka Stef's girlfriend, was "sick." While she sounded congested, I knew she had this virus called a hangover!! Lol! I'm glad she showed. I took mercy on her and only stayed gone an hour. Pierce is getting better with me leaving, but there are days he is a stage 5 clinger! *heaven help me*

Soooo Amy, your bday is next up---any plans? Today is my DH's birthday ;)

I totally forgot... good memory! lol Nothing planned, we have a dr's appt the day before so other than that, just hanging out with DH and monkey <3

LOL regarding the hangover... oh to be young again lol

Oh I missed that... Happy birthday to your DH Angel!!!! Love the pic.. so sweet! :cloud9:

Pierce *sang Happy Birthday to his Daddy and DH teared up. Skype is so great for these things! DH is def home sick this round. The Ritz is nice, but home is where it's at!
*sang meaning he repeated after me.

Hope you all are having a good week.

Amy ~ Have you and DH thrown baby names around? Or is it still too soon? I kinda knew at 15 weeks that Pierce would be it. Even before I confirmed with DH :haha:

We have thrown around some ideas but we haven't agreed on a first name. Just a middle name. I had a dream way before I got pregnant that I had a son named Mason and I told DH and he wasnt crazy about it. He said that its on the bottom of his list so I asked him what names he had and he didnt offer any more suggestions lol. We also like Camden, Jace, and Jaxon but Im leaning towards Mason as it goes well with the middle and last name.

We really haven't put too much thought into it though as you guys know because I have been too scared to think about anything baby.

Amy, great names!! Speaking of name, my kids ask, why didn't u give us more spanish names? Lol. I tell them, well, your last names are spanish! I must say, my first pic for Sophia's name was actually Emma and they all told me that the name wouldn't suit her but they were wrong lol. Now they say, "You were right, she really does look like an Emma!!" But its too late to change her name and I like her name Sophia anyways. My daughter Alyssa doesn't like her name, but Natalie likes her name a lot. Anyways, I know its still a bit early for names, you have plenty of time for that.

Poor mouse has croup again
No sleep for mouse and mommy
Hurry up and work antibiotic and steroids
His physio is ordering a wheelchair for him
She said he will prob need it for next ten ish years until he builds up his strength
Doesn't rain but it pours
OH is asleep all night and having a lie in while I do everything
Selfish *******
Rant over, well on here anyway
More to oh in real life when he drags his lazy arse out of bed

Sorry for selfish post, had to rant a bit xxx
Hope everyone is well xxx

Selfish??? Laura, you don't complain enough. That's why we all come here. To talk about our lives, the good and also about our problems. Never feel bad about venting. Just a question, but how come your oh doesn't help as much with Simon, as he should. You also need to rest. And even if u don't trust him completely, can't you just watch him while he takes care of Simon. Kind of like relax, and rest in the background while your oh takes charge of Simon? Just and idea, but maybe u already do that. So sorry about Simon being sick. Poor little boy. :nope:

Thanks jess.
Mouse is much better, thank god
The worst is over
Because he works long hours during the week
All of s falls to me
Which is fair enough
But then oh thinks that should spull into weekend too
Which I don't
Sometimes I let it happen cos s gets the care he is used to
And its just easier
Oh made dinner, got me choc
And took s for long drove so I got a few hours sleep
I'm feeling much more human after that
Its my fault too for allowing it to happen
But I'm starting to step back a bit and take bits of time for myself
I was coming close to burn out,
More from worry than physically
So i hve to
And the world hasn't fallen on our heads
So maybe I'm allowed a break sometimes
Thanks hon. Xxx
How r ye doing now? Xx
Hope ye r having a nice weekend xxx

Love to all xxx

Bethany where r u,
Come back, we miss u x

I am glad that you your oh is helping you. Sweet that he cooked dinner. In a way I am a control freak when it comes to other people taking care of Sophia. Only because she does very dangerous things. The house can be perfectly safe and she will find a way to make it more dangerous. If one electrical outlet isn't covered she will run over to stick her fingers in the socket. If somebody leaves a glass dish etc on the table in seconds she will run to grab it and do God knows what with it. If you leave anything long and skinny around like a belt, jump rope etc. within seconds she will grab it and try to wrap it around her neck. She has taught herself how to do cartwheels and I have hardwood floors (dangerous). This are just a few examples of how much energy and being watchful it takes to take care of her. I almost trust nobody. Because I have seen many dangers that even my mom and dh didn't notice until I point it out. And this is not being overprotective, Sophia is very impulsive can be a real danger to herself. I know her better than anybody and even I have a hard time protecting her at times.

She sounds like a real live wire the little dote x
Tiring for u though
They hve no sense at that age
They just don't see danger
S would jump off his change table head first if I let him
I know other people can look after s
But they don't know his cues like I do.
Or his meds or physio.
Id be afraid they would forget them
Or wouldn't know when je was asking for something .
If he could talk for himself id feel a bit better about it

Laura glad the worse of the croup is over...its taxing on mom and toddler when they don't feel well. Just remember even you deserve a day off xoxo as for venting, heaven knows I'm in here ranting all the time! Perfectly healthy, in my opinion, to let it out!

Jess ~ What a fire cracker Sophia is!!

Thanks angel x
How ye doin x
I spoke too soon.
He is like a little antichrist again!!!
Overall a good bit better though
Xxx
