for our rainbow groups catch up Xx

Poor fella :hugs: Pierce has been crabby and whiny lately, today while brushing his teeth I realize one of his 2yo molars are breaking through! This explains the poor napping and seeming discomfort at night. I feel bad b/c I missed it and thought it was terrible twos :/ :dohh:

I've missed some of s teeth till they peek up too
It doesn't help that they don't like us checking
If its broken through a bit, hopefully the worst is over for ye xxx

Laura, You hardly ever complain and are not the least bit selfish! Im glad that S is feeling better!!! Don't be so hard n yourself, I don't think I could do half of what you do!

Angel, Aww poor P and teething :( I feel so bad when I see a fussy LO and there is little that you can do for them :( and you don't be hard on yourself too. As Laura mentioned, its not like kids make it easy to inspect them! lol

Jess, hope you and your little ladies are doing well! :)

Bethany, just like Laura said... come back!!! We miss you!!! xoxox

My lil dude

Hi ladies.

Laura, beautiful pic of Simon. Hope he is feeling better. Hope all is well with u and your oh!! My dh really frustrates me at times also. It is good to vent and let it all out though, please never apologize for that. We are all here for u. :hugs:

Bethany, hope all is well with u and your family. How exciting Lorelei's bday is coming up in late October. Have any plans yet? Or still a bit early? :hugs: to u and Lorelei.

Angel. Poor Pierce with his teething. I hear the 2 year molars are really really tough on babies. Hope the teeth come in quickly without many more issues. Poor baby. :nope:

I don't really remember that well when Natalie and Aly got their 2 year molars. But poor Sophie has had a horrific time with teething. Her right upper canine has been slowly coming through for about 4 MONTHS!! I had a chance to check her gums thoroughly while sleeping and that canine is still only slightly poking through and not nearly out and the whole gum area around is red and irritated. And some of her first molars aren't even completely out. This has also affected her eating habits. :nope:

On to silly yet embarrassing news. Sophia heard my dh slip out the f-word. I believe his exact words were, "What tha f***!!" So now she has been blurting out f*** unbelievably clearly. She even makes sure to emphasize the "ckkkkk" at the end, which makes it sound that much worse. And the huge mistake my 2 older daughters did was laugh a lot when ever she said it (I must admit it is so shocking to hear it but also funny lol) so now she keeps saying it to be funny or get a reaction. So what we do when she says the f word, is respond with, "You mean fork" or " you mean flock" etc. We are trying to divert the attention and not react when she says it but correct her and try to teach her to say similar sounding words. This is gonna take some time because she seems to love the way f*** sounds. Lol.

Oh oh
Sooo hard to get them out of the habit
No laughing ever no matter how funny it is
My lil squish had started smacking
His grandad was laughing and saying oooiii
( not sure how to spell what he was saying )
So s thinks its hilarious.
I asked his granda to stop but he wouldn't
My dad , his other granda did it ages ago
But he stopped when I asked him
It took two weeks to get s out of the habit
Bad habits are hard to break
Its so hard not to laugh when u see their scutty little faces

Oh boy Jess! I just got mad at DH for saying the F word in the car today and told him "Hey, you better get NY side of you under wraps.. he can hear you you know!" and we both chuckled a little. Its hard not to laugh but I too wouldn't want anyone to encourage the behavior.

Lol at your dhs New York side. Its very hard to control the older girls here. Its almost as if they like to hear their toddler sister curse. So I am in a uniquely difficult situation, I have to not just be careful when Sophia slips out this world but right away I have to make sure the older 2 show no reaction, which they keep defying me on, especially Natalie. Wow, raising 3 kids is so hard. With time and effort we can manipulate her to stop. I think the method with showing no reaction and telling her, you mean fork or u mean flock is starting to work.

Of topic question ladies. Does trimming hair ends really help the hair to grow quicker? Sophia still has really really thin hair, do u think trimming it will help with growth and maybe even thickness? I always get comments on her fine/thin hair. It feels like feathers, so so soft.

I can see how that would be hard. They dont understand the potential long term affect that can have on Sophia. Hopefully they follow suit and work with you on that.

Im not sure about the split end thing but it would make sense!

Happy Birthday Amy!! Hope you have a wonderful day full of baby kicks and wiggles! :cake:

Hair: You trim your hair every 6-8 weeks to get rid of split ends. This only helps hair grow longer, not thicker. Split ends cause hair to break off, causing the end of someone's hair to look thin, uneven and/or dry (depending on severity). It's my understanding these guy's follicles (and pigment) are still developing so it will be another year (+) before we know their true nature of their hair :) I'm sorry the older girls aren't being supportive about dissuading Sophie's word choice (as cute as it is!). Pick rhyming words, have your girls laugh at YOUR new word. Maybe Soph will be a show stopper and steal your new word :) truck, stuck, muck, luck. Idk, anything to distract from the current word being used ;)
