i'm trying not to get my hopes up too much lol, but I really do hope so!
nothing to suggest it yet though apart from horrid backache all night

Cazd I still want to be optimistic for you! Just remember if it is chemical (hopefully not) then your period might come a bit later then usual. Praying its a bfp though.

Mrs N I look forward to the end of your tww!

oh is that what happens? the chemical AF comes later? Oh - that's actually good news...
I can rest easy knowing I've actually had a chemical and my bodys reacting to it 'normally'

Morning,

I really don't know what is wrong with me today! I am on heat does anyone else get like this close to ovulation?

Wow I'm gone for a little while and so much happens! My life is finally starting to slow down. My Army course is ending this weekend and my next course is cancelled until the summer due to budget cuts. Perfect timing, it's baby makin time! I had my first appointment with the fertility clinic on tuesday. Wow they really get right to business. The doc looked over my paperwork and my charts and decided to start me on provera. I'm on day 2 of provera now. He also gave hubby the semen analysis. They don't do the analysis at the clinic so we had to take it to a lab. By the time we headed home from our appointment the lab was closing soon, so hubby being the brave soul he was just took a sample right in the car in the parking lot. It was the funniest thing, but we got it in on time and didn't have to come back the next day. My next appointment I have to schedule when AF shows. Doc wants me to come in for bloods and an ultrasound between days 2-4. He also said I'll get Clomid then. Then I'm back again between days 10-12 for more blood and ultrasound. They also want me to do an HSG between days 6-12. Then back on day 21 for more blood (progesterone check). I'm feel like finally I'm getting somewhere. I'm a little worried about the HSG because I'v heard its a little painful. Anyone got any input? And how long does a semen analysis usually take. I figured we would have heard back from them right away. Thanks for being here gals, I'm not exaclty ready to try and explain all this to my family and friends.

Caz - FX'd that little fat positive turns into a big fat positive. How many days is AF overdue?

Can anyone explain chemical pregnancy? I'v never heard the term before.

MrsN- I'm so glad you got your Clomid. I can't wait to get mine and start feeling like I'm doing something productive with my fertility.I hope you only need one cycle FX'd.

Tysonme- Hope AF shows up quickly for you. I know what that wait is like. Such a bittersweet moment.

Jen1802- Good luck in your 2ww try and stay sane. I don't remember who recommended this website, but I'm hooked
www.countdowntopregnancy.com

Yomo- I had the same problem trying to figure out the abbreviations when I first joined. I still get stuck on a few and have to google them.

heya Shlinz - nice to have you back!
I'm on CD1 - :witch: landed today. I technically had a 'chemical' pregnancy - they call it that for the first erm... 5-7 weeks? is it? 'cos its only pregnancy 'cos of the chemicals and very few cells involved. after that it becomes an official 'clinical' pregnancy.
ha - a nice and precise definition for you there

As for the HSG don't worry! I was so very nervous about mine 'cos I'd heard it was painful. Its uncomfortable when they put the tube through your cervix but totally bearable - and seeing your uterus and those little tubes on the screen is absolutely mesmerising - its wonderful!

I got my little-f-p the month after my HSG - I like to think it flushed out my tubes and helped with conception :smug:

:hugs: caz, sorry old bag face is with you, but yay for moving onto a new cycle and the knowledge that you can conceive!

shlindz wow that sounds like some great progress, really organised stuff from your docs :happydance:
a chemical pregnancy is where the sperm fertilises the egg, but the resulting blastocyst (ball of cells) never implants into the uterus. the positive pregnancy test is usually before the period is due so the majority of women wouldn't know if they had one of these, but us POASaholics do!! I think the term 'chemical' means that the pregnancy cannot be confirmed by any other means (ie. ultrasound) other than biochemically (by HCG testing).

Sorry witch showed cazd!
Shlindz I don't want to scare you but my HSG was the most PAINFUL thing I have ever experienced. I know cazd and others are lucky and I hope you are one but I just thought you should be prepared. Good news is it's over in a matter of minutes. I recommend taking advil and tylenol at the same time before going, it will help.

Just read up on the HSG which does sound like it's a walk in the park, although it's most defo worth going through so i am sure you will be fine. Before i joined this site i knew very little, thanks to you guys i am all clued up ready for seeing my doc with our first lot of test. Thanks xx

Hey Shlindz! AF is here and I have an HSG scheduled for next Wednesday...good luck!! How's everyone else doing?

oooh - good luck for your HSG TySonNMe!!!!
I know you were looking forward to the :witch: arriving - shame she did but now at least you can get on with the testing!

Well you asked about us so I'll tell....

I'm having the HEAVIEST AF ever!!! Its great that its heavy 'cos it confirms the m/c
but the strangest thing is that its not too painful.
I'd braced myself for the worst pains yet but its been fine!

Mrs N - I think my chemical pregnancy implanted... 'cos I got spotting at 5 dpo last cycle.. and I NEVER spot mid-cycle.
So I reckon it implanted but then failed for some reason...

Anyhoo - Alls cool in my camp... just waiting for the :witch: to go and we can get cracking with cycle 14 :happydance:

How's everyone else doing?

Glad to hear you being so positive cazd! At least now you know it's possible!

Good luck for Wednesday tysonme!

Caz  for positivity!

So my temp dropped way down this morning at 9dpo - too late for ID I'm thinking?? Maybe it's just an anomoly!

no it's not to late, I implanted on 8dpo I am pretty sure, I hear it can happen as later as 11 or 12 days so hopefully it will pop back up there!

yeah isn't it 5-10 dpo for implantation.....?????

If it shoots back up tomorrow you'll know you're ON :yipee:

Glad to be back in the loop. Hopefully I won't flake for a while.
You'll have to let me know how your hsg goes tysonme. Looks like you and I will be on similar treatment courses around the same time. Glad AF isn't torturing you Caz. And thanks ladies for all the chemical pregnancy definitions. I totally get it now :)
So only 4 more days of provera and hopefully AF shows as planned.

It went back up! :happydance: and my frer has a faint second line on it!!!!!

That's awesome MrsN. I'm so excited for you. Keep us all posted :)
