For the Reproductively Challenged xxxxx

Can i join u guys.. well thing is i dnt fit anywhere... im waiting for IVF to start but at the same time TTC naturally..
i will skip my intro.. i hv big one of that in my journal.. for those u wanna read..

so can i join?

Hey Cazd, can I dip my toe in too please... bit of a background for those I don't know..
i stopped the depo injection in november 2007, so have officially been ttc since february 2009 when the last one wore off, fortunately my surgery are keeping to November though, I had progesterone level taken nov 2008 which was 4, and then in May it was 15 (needs to be above 30) so have been ntnp since then (with amazing track kept of when i'm o'ing!!) and stopped charting. it is still thought that the depo is taking its time departing and this is reflected in my charts and blood work from jan to may, af is about to come and i will start charting again to take back to drs in Nov. I have been told that if nothing has happened by then I should be referred to fertility specialist. I have started taking vit b50 this cycle so have no idea if this will affect lengths, my ususal LP is 13 days, cycle length between 25-41 days averaging at 28-29. I also take EPO up until I ovulate...
So I guess although I don't fit in quite yet, I would like to linger to see what others experience are of FS and hope u do not mind
xx

Heya Aneageraussie - I've seen you before!!! and you're very welcome to join us - we're all on the brink of starting FS testing and treatment so if you don't mind we'll be asking you all about it! I'm off to the journals to have a good catch-up with your goings on xxx

Mum2be - what's the depo injection - is it a contraceptive?
and I reckon my progesterone levels will be low - I didn't know they came out with a 'count' like that - interesting!
So are you off to see the FS again in November or is that when they reckon your body'll be back to 'normal'?
LP of 13 days is great but did you mean 25-31 day cycles? I can't imagine a 41 day cycle - I'd have kittens!
I started taking EPO too but it messed up my CM pre AF - pinky CM got me all excited but AF came bang on schedule!

You're on your way to fertility testing so you definitely DO fit in here.
Novembers a long time away though - hope it goes quickly for you - or that the ntnp works before then! xxxxx

i only started regular(ish) cycles in January, the first of which was 41 days... I did go nuts waiting!! but things seem to have averaged to 28-29 days over the last 3 or 4 months which has been good. I will have more blood work done by the gp in november to see what goes on from there and then referred on if levels are still low I guess or ok and nothing happened naturally too I guess.
November is only 3 months off and this year has passed do quickly already... but yeah, I guess we are all hoping that the NTNP works before anything medicalised starts though :hugs:
Aneageraussie, hope ur tests get on ok, if ur thyriod function is still low will they correct that and want to see how that helps before the IVF, I have heard that it can make a huge difference? although I also guess (am doing a lot of that!) that it depends on ur OH's SA....

sounds like your cycles bang on track now and if you can pin Ov then get those :spermy: in there :wohoo:

Girls - who's got fibroids?!!!

Just had a call from the Dr and my one remaining ovary has a fibroid on it.
He said it won't cause problems when I'm pregnant but I don't know what it is....

hey caz- ask away as many questions as u want to regarding FS... i will try them to answer all

Mum2bewaiting - my dr. told me she will refer me to endocrinoligist for thyroid supplments if its still low... i jist hope it doesnt delay my start of IVF

i have a fibroid. in my left ovary, same thing dr. told me it wont interefere with TTC/ pregnancy but i have to be careful it doesnt burst as it can cause bleeding...

Heya - there's no such thing as TTC TMI in my book !!!

I'd defo put that down as EWCM - and with my mystical predictive senses I reckon it'll go clear today.

Keep up with the CP and CM checking if you can - its a fabulous clue to OV time.
Just check it at the same time everyday 'cos if its anything like mine it'll move all over the place as the day goes on!

And if its that stretchy then you need to get some :spermy: in there ASAP !!!!

Thanks Cazd and I did I promise, day before yesterday and going for it again tomorrow. Want to get those :spermy: good and strong it's CD9 tomorrow and my last 2 cycles show O on CD10. So ready for it this cycle. Having said that my body doesn't seem to like me getting to know it and I am sure it is planning a curve ball.

I'm sorry about the fibroid. I don't know much about them, other than they seem to be fairly common and I'm sure if anyone can beat it you can.

Well, my blood test results are in and the suspense is killing me. Seeing the Dr tomorrow afternoon. I'll keep you all posted. I am feeling really anxious and nervous! But trying to remain positive.

Hi eageraussie. Good luck to you.

Hiya

Nise - good luck with the appointment today - hope the results are good!

Aussie (or should I put Eager... hmmm)
FAB news about the results - gonna go check your journal now....

Nice to see some new additions to this team! Hi everyone. I'm trying to keep my mind off TTC this week, so trying to keep away a bit but its not working!

x

hi girls, mind if I join you?

we are just starting on the fertility tests, since we have been trying since January and no luck so far - my cycles are anything from 24 to 47 days long, and I am on my 6th cycle. Since I started charting 4 cycles ago I have only ovulated once, and that was on cd33 of the 47 day cycle.

had all the standard bloods which were pretty much normal, although I did have a high LH. Trying to get my 'day 21' progesterone done, but with irregular cycles finding it's taking a few attempts to get the right timing!

hello Mrs_N (or Jen :winkwink:).. welcome to this thread.
glad to see u here :)

well I've booked an appointment to get day 21 bloods taken again tomorrow, then will see GP with the results early next week.

anyone have any experience with clomid? how quickly can you get it and do you need to have had other investigations before you start taking it?

Not sure really, someone I know who's taken it said for the first month she felt like killing herself and the second moth kiling her husband... I'm not sure if I like the sound of tthat when I already get rather hefty mood swings taking nothing but EPO and vit b50...

i didnt had any chance to take clomid.. dr. said no point as im O by myself every month like a clock work

I'm definitely reproductively challenged; can I join your gang?

I got diagnosed with PCOS in 2006, so DH and I started TTCing as soon as we were remotely ready. I had a miracle BFP last October that ended in a mc, and since then no luck. I'm on Clomid round 4, so I'm not expecting too much this month, but I go back to the FS in two weeks to discuss the next steps.

About Clomid, my doctor wouldn't give it to me until a SA was done (even though we had gotten pg once ...). Besides that, I had an ultrasound and bloodwork. The side effects were really terrible one month (super moody, headaches, rash, generally yuck), but the past two months haven't been so bad. If it works for you, I'm sure it's worth it, but I'm starting to think I need something else.

crikey, don't like the sound of that! :nope:
i guess the side effects are different for everyone, so the only way you can know is to try.

thanks diana, I've had the blood work, so it sounds like I'll need the ultrasound, and dh to go for SA too.
sorry to hear about your mc, hope you get your :bfp: soon! :dust:
