I guess thats why I joined this group so early though, I recon that anything is slightly better when u know about the side effects... at least DH has warning to go into hiding for a month and only come out when required!!!

thanks diana, I've had the blood work, so it sounds like I'll need the ultrasound, and dh to go for SA too.

It's a bit of a hassle getting the SA, but it's nice to know for sure that DH's functioning properly. At least one of us works!

Hopefully the appointment next week will give you a good idea on how to move forward.

:muaha: I've thought about just going in hiding myself for the month! Clomid also makes me  over everything. Kind of funny sometimes. :dohh:

But not everybody has a lot of problems. Maybe you'll be a right :angelnot: during Clomid.

 best if you are expecting the worst, then it might feel like plain sailing!

yeah the SA is a bit of a faff, they hospital will only accept during certain hours, on 2 days a week etc etc. think dh is trying to put it off too
like you say, good to know that all is ok with him though. we've been working on the assumption that he's fine, because of the clear & obvious problem with me not ovulating. but of course, that may not be the case.

My DH was also a bit of a :baby: about the SA. I had to make the delivery because he was embarrassed. Sheesh, I'm the one getting the lovely internal ultrasounds every month :hissy:

The analysis took 2 to 3 weeks for us  -- no clue why they needed so long. Hopefully it won't take that long in your case!

Hey girls!!

Our S/A results were back with the dr within the week so hopefully it won't take yours too long.

I had the standard bloods done and the ultrasound but I haven't had the specific CD bloods done yet - I've got to wait for the FS appointment first... BOO!

I had no idea Clomid came with those kinds of side effects.
I was warned off it by scare stories of its link to cancer - how do you feel about it Diana?

About the risk of cancer, the results just weren't conclusive for me. Some studies show an increase in risk, some not. My doctor wasn't worried, but this isn't a drug that I would take long term (though cancer isn't the main reason).

But the side effects are really tolerable. If it would actually get me a :bfp: then it would be totally worth it.

When is your FS appointment, cazd?

Oh, silly me  I see that it's in your ticker.

The waiting stinks, doesn't it?

the studies I have looked at only showed an increased risk of cancer after taking for at least 6 months.

why do you have to see a FS before getting specific bloods done?? that seems strange!

Hey all, :flower: Well I guess u will have guessed from the change in my signiture, but wanted to come and say good luck to u all. It seems I was rather ahead of myself as got my positive on Friday morning YAY.

I am still in shock, but obviously very happy, and guess I just wanted to say good luck, and also I guess that sometimes things happen when u least expect it. I hope this give a bit of hope to some of u

I hope that all of u aren't kept here for very long and I will keep lurking xx :hugs:

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
