Forgetfullness

Wow, I never imagined pregnancy would be eating my brain cells, but I guess it does.
Today, my agenda consisted of going to the post office and mailing something for my husband (the priority of the day), buying a falafel and going to the market for fruits and veggies.

So there I am, eating my falafel downtown, and I realized I left the package I was gonna mail AT HOME.

:dohh::dohh::dohh:

so, now I gotta run back to the post office for this to leave before 5 pm.
I am embarrassed to tell my husband i was a clutz and forgot. WOW.

I totally understand. I feel like such a ditz most of the time now.

I know what you mean, sometimes I wonder if I lost my brain or somthing.

lol at least you sorted it before you got caught.
I thought the forgetfullness was just a myth or something up until the last 2 days.
I usually have the memory of an elephant....i literally remember everything no matter how important or trivial, i can remember numbers, times, dates and all the silly things our family have to do.....
UNTIL...........the last 2 days......OMG! Im forgetting everything even like forgetting to put my knickers on before my trousers when i got dressed this morning  i had to get re-dressed once i realised!
But im also forgetting things like when you go into a room and forget what you went in for.....DOH:dohh:
Maybe this is the downhill slide for my braincells too.
Any assurance the braincells come back after the baby is born? or is there no hope for us all??
Its making me look bad in front of my bf too as he seriously has the memory of a goldfish and he is putting me to shame!!

LOL when I was pregnant with first one, my grandfather (father of 5 sons)looked at me and said, well get ready for your brains to fall out your ears...

:dohh:

The wisest words ever spoken. I am an brainless mess when pregnant (apparently granny was too). I even have to have people repeat themselves ...

Yes, I can verify it goes away with delivery of LO. It takes a little while, but your brain does eventually find it's way back into your head.

good to hear it goes away!!
whenever i try to work on my thesis i can't concentrate for shit! no wonder why.

My brain went with pregnancy, and never returned! seems my head is just full of baby stuff and meal times, it's so weird. :/

I know how you feel. Baby has been eating my brain for awhile.

My work just blames my forgetfulness on pregnancy brain lol!

My brain always works different pregnant I am just hoping that I don't decide to leave my daughter anywhere since I can barely remember to take myself with when I go places.

 I had to resort to lists, and that was just for 2 things

Yeah im a list person, would recommend them to everyone !! :)

I was always really ditzy anyway. Im not really that clever. Well actually, I think its just that my brain is faster than my mouth.

When I left my old job they made a book of all the stupid things I'd said while I was there.

But Im like 50 times worse now. Its the businest time at work ever as well, and Im just all over the place and getting myself so stressed out for forgetting everything!

xxx

 I had to resort to lists, and that was just for 2 things

Lol, that sounds just like me these days! My memory used to be really quite good too but its gradually getting worse over the weeks

 I had to resort to lists, and that was just for 2 things
lol everyone laughs at me because of my list, I love writing them plus I need to or I can't remember my own name most of the time.

If people ride you for it, just say - "I'm pregnant, not stupid."

It made my husband laugh so hard he cried, and never ever said a word about it again.

the other day at work I forgot the surnames of two of my colleagues....I work closely with them adn couldnt for the life of me remember their names so I could work out their email addresses.
It didnt help that they were standing next to me when I was trying to remmeber so I had to say...."And you are....?"
doh.

After stripping the walls of our bedroom I was annoyed to find my bedside clock had broken. OH dutifully drove to Argos to get me a new one but when he came to plug it in for me he found that the reason the other one was "broke" was cos I hadnt plugged it back in again after doing the walls DOH! Pregnancy does make us daft eh! (well thats my excuse) :)
