Oh no! I'm sorry she moved!
But if she can move there, she can move back :/ Your midwife should know (if you don't) a whole lot of ways to encourage her to move back, like leaning forward, or sticking your left leg up etc. I think even walking is supposed to encourage them to go headfirst... don't quote me though! :P

I'm glad your midwife is more level headed! I'd have thought that it was a bit hasty to book a c-section. You'd think they'd wait until you are actually due and then they can make the decision. Did your other babies come early or later?

The other to were 12 and 11 days late... Thank heavens for my MW!

Wow holywoodmum, what a day you've had! And all that at 39 weeks pregnant! Sorry to hear your little one's gone butt down again. :( This happened with my cousin's little boy and they even tried turning him before his arrival and that failed so she needed a c-section. As long as baby arrives safely.. I do hope she turns for you in time though! Take good care of yourself! :flower:

I hope it turns too, but I'm feeling a bit more philosphical this morning - up til 34 weeks (when it first turned head down) this is how I assumed it would be at the end, so I'm really no worse off than I thought I'd be - just that I had a brief period of false hope in the middle!
They haven't said if they'll try and turn it

do any of you ladies know what i can take for heartburn? and where to get from :flower:

I'd imagine so. Just ask them what would be best. You can get gaviscon liquid and I think they do nice flavours (strawberry etc).

WhisperOfHope - Gastrimint helps!

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend! :) We've finally gotten relief from the heat and humidity after it seems like weeks on end! Feels great!

I've announced my pregnancy to my mom and she's telling some close family. 18 weeks along.. I suppose it was about time.

We've been making final touches on the princess room. All that needs to be done now is organizing but my energy's run out for the day. The girls will have the bigger room but the baby, well, smaller baby:haha: will be in with us until we feel she's ready to move in with her sister. Has anyone else gotten started on their nurseries? Are you planning on bedsharing/cosleeping/or baby in her own room from the start?

Okay, take care fellow expats! :)

I wanted to co-sleep, but we got shit from my PIL (going "it's too small" about the bed over and over...) so we just ended up getting a cot. We'll have it in our room though :). But, still waiting for the furniture to come :(.
I wish our bed was higher, our bed is low and the cot is high :/

18 weeks, about time :P We did tell DH's parents at 16 weeks though.

I'm not pregnant, yet, but I'll probably do what I did with DD - 3 months in a crib/cot in our room. I don't know when we'd move a LO in with DD as they would be sharing a room for a while. I suppose that is something you just have to gauge as you go along.

Gunnhilde are you waiting for anything in particular to start trying? I'm just curious! :flower:

I'd like to lose a little more weight (4,5 kg) and I don't have a proper residence certificate/permit. I'm hoping to be able to get one by December. I'm lucky that I'm a dual British/American citizen otherwise I don't know what we'd do. Yep, but as usual for foreigners, I'll probably have to get a 15 hour a week cleaning job to seal the deal. :dohh:

I think Germany is much more friendly to immigrants and foreign spouses. :winkwink: I can't even ever get permanent residency if I want to be a stay at home mom/wife (at least in the years leading up to the application). :nope:

Sarah - How small is "too small"? 43 x 83cm is my daughter's cosleeper. We nearly squeezed 6 month's use out of it but she outgrew it quite quickly. We could have gotten a cosleeper crib from the start (60 x 120cm) but I do like how compact her bassinet type cosleeper is. We wouldn't be able to fit a standard size crib next to our bed anyway since we're in the small room now. By the way, it's still considered cosleeping when baby sleeps in the parent's room. :)
I stopped listening to the in laws very early on. :p
Why did you decide to wait 16 weeks to tell your in laws?

Wow Gunnhilde, Denmark seems very strict with foreigners. :/ Married to a Dane - you have no chance getting a residence permit without proving you're working at least part time? You're not allowed to be a stay at home mom as a foreigner? Geez.. that doesn't sound nice at all. I guess I would have been kicked out of Denmark then.

Think we'll have a moses basket in our room, but try daytime sleeps in baby's own room to get used to it - that's what we did with the other two anyway, but in a much bigger house now, so not sure how it'll work out if we're constantly up and down stairs!
I found Talcid to be much better than Rennie for heartburn - a little more expensive, but far more effective. I couldn't stand swallowing the Gaviscon liquid. I never bothered with a prescription, you can get it over the counter in the Apotheke - I guess it might have been cheaper that way though!

Wow, that's harsh, being a UK citizen normally give you the right to live and work in the EU countries. Is it that it doesn't allow you to get social benefits? Not to mention you're married... It's a bit crap :/

Um, I was looking at a co-sleeper cot. I didn't so much listen to the in-laws, as just give in to stop them whining... well at least to spare my DH their whining.

We were in SA till 12weeks, then they came to our place for a night at 16, so we told them then in person. Not to mention DH is terrible at ringing people... or telling them anything when he's actually on the phone to them!

Speaking of heartburn, I had it last night, I'll have to keep these products in mind! :P

BBQ today... of course it's raining! It hasn't rained in 2 weeks. Which is SO WEIRD FOR SIEGEN!

How long can those Moses baskets be used on average, holywoodmum? I've seen they're quite often used by moms on B&B but they look so tiny, but cute. :) What are the measurements?

Wow Sarah, whining in laws? I hear enough whining from my daughter. Luckily my in laws aren't whiners but they're not shy to share their ways of doing things in a more direct way.
Sorry to hear your BBQ's rained out! What a bummer! It's sunny here today but windy so could be iffyish weather. Then again, we live on a separate little island here in Germany that never receives rain remember, and that when we need it!
We'd like to try the backpack carry of the Ergo out today. It's had to be postponed, however, because Aurora's having a bad day. Hopefully after her nap she'll be more pleasant. :)
