Oh, and I have to share! :D Is this not the cutest selection of clothing ever?!

https://www.ernstings-family.de/prospekt/das-aktuelle-wochenangebot.html

It'll be on the Ernsting's Family site from the 30th, so this Thursday! I wonder if the selection will be in the stores too.
Definitely getting the red "Süßer Schatz" long sleeve and I really want to get those matching jeans too but I find jeans so impractical for babies plus I don't think it'd be comfortable to crawl around in jeans. :/ They're soooo cute though. :)
If we were having a boy he'd so be getting that Lederhosen onesie and the Breze Bavaria colored shorts!

Haha! I know if we were having a boy, DH would insist on some baby lederhosen :P

You could always get your little girl a Dirndl! How cute would that be! :) Expensive though, especially considering it won't be worn long.

Hehe maybe once she's a bit older :D
Ughh, I want the cot to come :P I can't wait to put everything away!

Good morning :).
Sorry you had such a bad day Holywood mum sounds awful :(.
Here the weather has been good. We have got pleasant 20 °C and sun and clouds, and maybe an occasional rain shower.
We had a good weekend here- watched some dragonboat racing and yeasterday we had a special cricket day at out club.
I plan on getting a cosleeper called Fabimax which is 90cm, so I hope we can use it for some time. We havent got that much other space yet, but in that time we can at least see what else we do :haha:

Oh and we are in the North so we may have more maritime clothes if instead any thing from down south :haha:
Friday I received the catalogue from a Kids and Bayshop called Jako-O they are a bit expensive sometimes, but they have good quality stuff, and some nice ideas(like two sized body suits (like 52-56) or (62-68)and other nice stuff, especially also lovely unisex stuff as I am already sure that my daughter won't be exclusively pink. :haha:(not into Pink and pinkification ) I don't mind the odd thing but I prefer a nice range of colours . :)

I don't mind pink, but every time I think OOO that's nice! It tends to be the blue one :/

Yea I like blue a lot more, but I also like greens a lot too :D

Haha, I've totally been going for the greens and purples :P but like I said, I don't mind pink, I like pink, heck I like all colours! I just find that every time I think "oooo!" it's NOT pink!

Baby Dirndls are really sold, Sarah. Starting at around 45€.
Which crib have you ordered?

Sound like you had a nice weekend, morri. I'm not very familiar with dragonboat racing or cricket.

The Fabimax cosleeper looks similar to what we have. :)

We mostly get baby clothes from Ernsting's Family, H&M and DM (love their Alana products). We also get some used from Ebay but I'm finding Ebay, in Germany anyway, isn't very worth it. There's a Kinderwagen Fußsack I've tried bidding on twice from last year's collection at E. Family (semi-pathetic I know that, isn't it?) and the first one that ended went for nearly 5€ OVER the NEW price, if you can believe it, and the second time it was only 5€ less than the new price, for a used item! So, we're buying new as that's not worth it in my opinion.

Completely agree with you on girls in all pink!! I was beginning to think I'm the only one that also shops in the boy section for my daughter. A few weeks back there were few onesies in her size in the girl's section so I got her a blue dino one from the boys section instead. Oh well!:haha: She has a good mix of all colors. :) Although, since we waited to find out the gender with her, she had a lot of blue as a newborn. Unisex is tough to shop I found!

yeah I wanted to get a bag from ebay, it went for 70 euros when new was 90... I don't get WHY you would ever bid that high???? Some things I definitely find at good prices though, got our pram for 112euros instead of 699!

It always seems like it's either Pink, Blue or Grey? GREY IS SO BORING! I mean, of course a few things work, but ugh...

We have gotten some good deals from Ebay. Her rocking chair is normally in the 75-80€ range new on Amazon and we got it used through Ebay for 35ish€ including shipping. Her mobile is between 60-70€ new and we got it around 30€ with shipping. Both are in top condition and you wouldn't even have known they were used. :) It seems like with certain things, like baby clothes, toys and certain accessories you're better off buying new.
Great deal you got on the pram! What kind is it? We ideally need a double but they're all so big and expensive! We're going to get a second that's compatible with Maxi Cosi car seats. Pretty sure we'll go with the Maxi Cosi Mura 3. Hopefully my daughter will agree to happily sit in the Ergo so we don't always have to venture out with two strollers. She's not 100% sure about the carrier though and never has been. :/

We got a Teutonia mistral s, But we are getting the Maxi cosi pebble and a converter, so they fit together :)

What kind of rocking chair did you get? I'm looking at them atm :P

Also, I think putting the LO in a carrier is easier and the little girl in the push chair!

Oh I don't know if you are aware of it, but ebay in Germany has the 'kleinanzeigen' section which i think it kind a cool. It is not related to the normal ebay in terms of selling/bidding etc, but it is owned by ebay and people put their private small adverts on it, and they have quite reasonable prices there too-- so it's worth a look :).
I got a sleeping bag incl two inners for the bag for 20€ when it normally cost 60-70 € in a shop.

we have 2 prams both given to us ones a maxi cosi mura and the other a silver cross sleepover my parents are bringing them over from the uk just after christmas with a barrelload of other things and gifts people are giving us:haha:

Oh nice

Haha, lucky :P Ours is a bit big for our car :/ but I guess I'll baby wear a lot, so wont be too much of an issue!

We had lots of rain yseterday, but it is sunny again today thankfully!
Saphira, not sure on dimensions of moses basket - we didn't use one for DD1 and 2, we had an old heirloom crib that me and my bro and my mum and my uncle and cousins had all slept in - I'm sad we had to leave it in Ireland - I reckon 3 months maybe? By then I think we'll have baby in to own room if the other two are anything to go by...
Morri, feeling a bi better today, thanks, friday was just rubbish!
I thought we never had our girls in that much pink - certainly we rarely bought it ourselves - but I've just gone through all our age 0-2 year old clothes this morning, and there's so much PINK! Mostly gifts I think... I tend to try and by bright primary colours as opposed to pretty pinks type things...
I'm 39 weeks today, MW came out to the house to talk about breech baby - I have stuff to do moxibustion at home and pulsitilla to take to try and make baby turn, and I've just done ten minutes of "indian bridge" (lying on the floor with my arse on the sofa - agony!) in an effort to get things back on track.
I have my appointment on Thursday, I will have a detailed scan apparently to assess position and size of baby, and then I will hear what the options are - a big baby will indicate against a vaginal breech birth... really hoping DH can get the afternoon off as I'm not sure I can manage the two girls on my own through a long appt (and a long wait too probably, we are the last appt of the afternoon)

Aww good luck, holywoodmum! I really hope it all works out! *fingers crossed*!

(I also have an appt on thursday, but a way less important one :P)

Sarah - It is really nifty being able to click the car seat right into the stroller! :)

We have this newborn-toddler rocker:
https://www.amazon.de/Fisher-Price-T4145-0-Wunderwelt-Schaukelsitz-Deluxe/dp/B002YGSJ88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346095250&sr=8-1
Now, for a baby up to 3 months I'd recommend this chair! My daughter absolutely loved being in it. In the first days she only felt comfortable sleeping in it (has a lay flat position for newborns) and a couple months later she started discovering the toys on the toy bar and was fascinated.
I wouldn't recommend it for an older baby though and here's why - once she starting getting more mobile and stronger (3m+ish) this chair has become semi-dangerous. Around 3-4 months old she leaned so far forward in it she would have fallen face first into the hard wood floor if we hadn't been right there to prevent it. The safety belt isn't exactly safe. It only goes around the waist so the upper body's free to move about wherever. Plus she's probably able to pull herself over the sides now. We only put her in it if we're going to stay right next to her the whole time. For this reason I'd recommend this rocker instead:
https://www.amazon.de/Bright-Starts-Rock-Park-Baby-Wippe/dp/B004TJ5FYE/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1346095539&sr=1-1
If I could go back in time and make a different purchase I'd go for this chair. It has not only waist straps but also shoulder straps making it a lot more safe, in my opinion. It has the same features as the Fisher Price rocker too.

I agree with you that it'd probably be easier to put the oldest in the stroller and youngest in the carrier. My problem with that is, I really don't like the Ergo for newborns. We have the newborn insert of course but I found it tricky to get on properly plus it's very restrictive. Baby looks completely squished and I wonder how well air circulation in that position is. For older babies it's top but I'm just wary of it with newborns. :/

morri - Thanks for the tip! We have used Kleinanzeigen for a couple purchases but I find it's best to use when you live in a big city, like Munich or Berlin. In smaller towns you'd have to drive a ways to pick up the item and end up paying a lot for gas just to get it. Then the purchase wasn't really worth it at all + time consuming. I do check around on it sometimes but for more specific items it's not so useful.
That's a good deal you got on the sleeping bag set! Which brand is it? Sounds like Alvi for that price range new.

holywoodmum - I really hope your baby turns in time! Those positions sound quite awkward so late in the pregnancy. Could be any day now.. I'm really excited for you and wishing you and your little one the very best. :flower:

Yes it was a alvi bag. It was also sent by post so that was good too :). (I nevertheless live in Hamburg so that a big city too :haha:
By the way on the German -speaking nfp forum I am on there is also a wearing thread, and they recommend the Bondolino for newborns. along with other Maitais like Storchenwiege .

We have a wrap and a marsupi plus (for DH :)). Cant wait to use them!!!!!
