Yes it was a alvi bag. It was also sent by post so that was good too :). (I nevertheless live in Hamburg so that a big city too :haha:
By the way on the German -speaking nfp forum I am on there is also a wearing thread, and they recommend the Bondolino for newborns. along with other Maitais like Storchenwiege .

Thanks for the suggestions morri! The Bondolino carrier looks just like our Ergo. I'm interested in the Storchenwiege wrap though. I just don't understand why they have different lengths from 2,70m-5,20m. Why would such a long wrap be needed? I'm clueless about them. :p I'm also a little scared if it wasn't tied up right that baby could fall right out. It's a fear of mine anyway. :/ I'm probably just lacking info. about them and that's where the fear stems.

I figured it's an Alvi bag! I wasn't aware you could add layers in them. We like the H&M side zip sleep sacks. We also have a couple Alana sleep sacks but they're with buttons at the top only so it's a little trickier getting baby in and out.

We saw a commercial yesterday for a new site I believe:
https://www.baby-markt.de/
We were interested so I check it out. Pretty good deals on there! I was even looking at double strollers and they're in our price range BUT none of them have rubber, air filled tires. :( Are double strollers only created with plastic tires or what? We need all terrain! This one caught my eye:
https://www.baby-markt.de/Unterwegs/Zwillingswagen-Geschwisterwagen/HAUCK-Geschwisterwagen-Freerider-SH-12-Brown.html
Well, after reading the product description we find out the tires aren't rubber, air filled like they look from the pic, instead plastic. :( Bummer! Guess we'll have to go for a second although I haven't given up my search just yet. I do have a feeling if what we're looking for exists it will easily cost 500€+ and that's a bit hefty. :/

Yeah strollers here are expensive. Which sucks because you can end up not using them a lot!

Thats why I am not getting one atm.
By the way, a bondolino is indeed a carrier type but it is by structure more suited to newborns than an Ergo.
And wraps: You need different sizes for different kind of tieing the wrap. The one with the most cloth(I have got a 4.70 one which should be alright to me) is used with the 'wickelkreuztrage ' not sure what it is called in English though. If you tie them correctly the wrap should not even move when you bend forwards so it is a snuggly fit.
You need less lengths for other ties like kangaroo tie or for sling ties (as you only tie the cloth into the two rings)
https://www.hoppediz.de/en/tragezubehoer/trageanleitungen
Here you can get booklets which show you step by step how to tie a variety of different ties, and maybe it is possible for you to find an instructor/adviser too.

I quite like that hauck one, is it suitable from newborn, like does it have the carrycot bit like a phil and teds would?
Would solid tyres be so bad? It might be worth seeing if there is a local stockist where you could try it out

They advertise the front facing position which is actually quite unhealthy. It isnt woven either so it probably too straight for a newborns back.

Thanks morri! Which carrier or wrap are you going for? Where have you found an instructor for using the wraps?

holywoodmum I don't believe there's a carrycot option with the Hauck double stroller. I've checked but have only seen it having an adapter in the front for a Hauck car seat and I'm not sure I'd like to sell the Maxi Cosi for a Hauck seat.

The problem we have with plastic tires is that we like to walk on unpaved, dirt paths. The sidewalks around here also aren't in top condition. We had a Quinny Zapp Xtra first but ended up selling it and having my sister bring a Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain stroller from the U.S. because we were desperate for one that could handle uneven terrain. For malls or grocery trips the Quinny's top but not for outdoor use. So, I'm skeptical about the Hauck but it does look sharp and pretty compact for double stroller standards.

Saphira: the the Hauck baby wearing strap is.

my wrap is a Hoppediz one , in 4.70m
I bought it used at ebay.
You can find instructors online.
https://www.tragenetzwerk.de/beraterinnen
here for example is a list of qualified instructors. (that are part of the association of the Babywearing network"
Maybe you can find some one that is close to where you live.
Here are also youtube videos , that are recommended by them- some of the videos are English as well. Other wise just follow the vid ;)

I can't wait to use my wrap :D:D!!

Saphira, what laundry detergent do you use with you daughter? I'm looking for something good for nappies and baby clothes etc. I've heard the DM sensitive isnt bad and that DM also sells something called Ecover which is a international brand which apparently has no (bad??)
chemicals etc.

Edit, I think you might be using the DM sensitive... I think you wrote that

Ecover is an environmental friendly brand :). It comes from Belgium. Not all supermarkets have it, but I know that Budnikowsky has it. My (big)Edeka has it too, but the Rewe's in my areas don't have it. I use it for my dishwasher (tabs)and for my bathroom cleaner :).
Atm I use Frosch washing powder (in the refill pack) as it it does not create that much rubbish and it is also uses mostly natural stuff. I have to see whther you can use it with cloth nappies too though.

I think you can basically use normal washing powder, you just use a lot less :) Which actually I normally do anyway...
I'll keep an eye out for those two brands though! :D

We use this "Colorwaschmittel Ultra Sensitive" from DM (https://www.dm.de/cms/servlet/segment/de_homepage/denkmit_home/produkte/produkte_waschen/produkte_waschen_colorwaschmittel/10442/denkmit_colorwaschmittel_ultra_sensitiv.html)
We also use it for whites even though color is stated. Their detergent for whites is in a powder form only and we tried it and weren't impressed. It clumped like crazy. :/

morri, I didn't know Hauck sells carriers or wraps. :p I was just talking about the double stroller/compatible car seat.

Where are all the Bavarian instructors?! I see some from Munich but that's a bit of a ways from us. I'm going to check out that Youtube channel. :)

Is it hot anywhere else? It's scorching here!! We were out for 15 minutes and that was PLENTY.

Oh okay :haha: well now you know :haha: . hm Here the temp is as usual very pleasant . it is 22 degrees C and a bit hazy but sunny.
I also already use less than normal with washing powder too :)

feels a little warm here prob around 22 or so but havent really been out as we have had the people come to inspect the flat b4 we move today had a mad cleaning spree this morn:haha:

seems kind of warm here actually, although it's cloudy :/
You can always post pictures on the natural parenting site, if you set up your wrap and stick it on there they'll tell you if you're doing it wrong :P. Also, the lady at the store I bought my wrap gave me a demo. It was pretty easy once you get your head around it :D
