From what I have heard you live in a rural area, so i think it is really weird that those people don't seem to respect the rules of quietness during/ after certain times. I know that the place we lived before , the neighbours called the police on the people who moved in ( am not surprised, ) they came from here in the city, and had music on too lou and then wonder why they get a visit from the police :haha:.
It is just courtesy not to make loud noises after 20:00h, or in the lunch time(12-15 h) or on Sundays(like lawn mowing )so they should better improve.

Noo, we don't live in a rural area! We wish! Hoping to make that happen next year. We don't live in the city center but on the outskirts of the city. Still surrounded by apartments and homes squeezed next to one another but not too far from getting out in the middle of no where either. So, I guess you could say such an environment is in a tease of a distance away from us!:dohh:

I wouldn't care so much about the hours of 12-15 but at 22:30 putting a kitchen together is using really poor judgement!

well outskirts is still rural enough. I live only about 2 km from the city limits :haha:

You know you don't have to do much but if you just give a call to the police they ll knock on their doors and tell them to be quiet... maybe that will be enough..

Well he's basically a NZer, but his passport is red and he can speak German really really well :D

Yay for a new stroller :) glad Aurora approves ;)

But it might also start a bit of a feud :P I'd just see how it goes for the next week. Maybe it was a once off????

As long as kitchens and furniture aren't built into the night. :) We're not going to do anything unless it's persistent.

Trying to decide on a nursing cover. I definitely want one for flying to NZ. and it'll be useful in other times too :D.

Anyway, there are 3 here, this one is a top that you can hook over the baby to make it private: https://www.mamarella.com/still_ponchos_1.waterfall_cardigan.3097.1.1.htm

This one is like you see, just buttons down one side: https://www.mamarella.com/still_ponchos_1.still_poncho.2117.1.1.htm

And this one, I'm not entirely sure it actually is joined up one side, or if i's just like a big scarf. If that's the case then I wouldnt want it (I have scarves!!)

What do you ladies think?? :3

hm My sister just used a mull nappy for covering up when in public. I don't know yet whether I will cover up anything... at least there shouldnt be too much to see anyway hen she is ina wrap or aid :haha:

Those are pretty cute Sarah! I like "Madison 3- in- 1 Still- Poncho braun" the best because of the swaddling option. :) The "Waterfall Cardigan" is my second favorite. When are you flying to NZ?! You're very brave to fly that far with a baby. We were going to fly to the U.S. next year but not anymore since we'll have a then 1.5yr. old and 6 month old. That would be pure craziness on the plane. So, we're waiting until summer of '14. Seems so far off but I'm sure it'll come quicker than it seems.

By the way - for "Madison 3- in- 1 Still- Poncho braun" it says there are buttons on the shoulders.

Hehe, we are planning to go in Feb, so she'll be 3-4months old :O.
My Mum did NZ to england with 3 boys under 5 by herself in the 70s :D But she's a crazy lady, she later camped in England with 5 kids, one being a two year old and being pregnant with me for 6months!!!

Wow!! She must be one patient, laid back lady! I don't know how I'd keep it together!

Crazy might be the right word... :P

Hahaha!

Okay, so guess what?! First of all, any peanut butter fans out there? Kit Kat Chunky Peanut Butter bars. YUM!!!!! Just found them today, must be new! They're on sale at Lidl, a 4 pack for 1,49!

Oh they had the peanut butter kitkat for a while. (at least since start of the year) My fav is the white choc one though.

Oh my gosh, it took me quite a while to find it! :p With my luck it'll probably be discontinued since I have yet to meet a German that's fond of peanut butter! Can't say I'm a huge white chocolate fan BUT have you heard of Hershey's Cookies'n'Creme? OMG, yum!

White twix are the only white chocolate things that are better than the orig (imo!). But the other day they had reeses peanut butter cups at the local store!! Yummy!

eugh I don't know too many English /american brands o choc. I think oreos (whatever they are supposed to be) are much better with white choc than plain.

Mmmm, Reeses! :D I've seen them before randomly at a move rental store in Berlin!

Here morri: https://www.americanfood4u.de/Lebensmittel/Suessigkeiten_c93.htm

You could get to know some nummies that way. Gosh, if I lived in the U.S. now I'd probably weigh easily 5kg more.

You gals won't believe it either.. well, maybe you will. :/ Neighbors were quiet all day except for throwing old furniture out the window in the afternoon, which kind of freaked me out. Anyway, for the most part it was quiet. Then at 19:30 on the dot they decide it's the perfect time to get the electric screwdriver and hammer out. They've been drilling and hammering on and off since. My daughter napped terribly today as her nose is stuffed up so I had to get her down earlier tonight. Perfect.:growlmad:
