I am I am!! I'm in Siegen though, about 1.15hrs away. I'm from New Zealand. My DH is German.
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Yes I am from Germany- and I live in Hamburg :), my oh is South African :)

Ohhhh, we love south africa :) I was there during... weeks 6-10 hehehe! And we were there 6months before that too! There is a slim possiblity that we end up living there for a year or two!

thank you:) just asked dh where that is and his reply "not a clue":haha: typical man

Haha, it's not really a place worth knowing :'(! She's Wuppertal I think, so in that area. but not much.
Siegen is about half way from the essen and frankfurt

Hehe, I'm totally fine! Going to the north sea this week. Hannes is visiting a uni there and I'm going to laze around in the sun (fingers crossed there is some!). Long drive though :( and the car is pretty uncomfy.

How's Lena?

She's doing great. She's going through one of those moments where she just wants to be held all the time. I love holding her, but she is a rather heavy baby and she usually sends me arm to sleep after a while. Plus my back still gives me aches and pains from the c-section so it's not very pleasant at the moment.

Don't think I'm anywhere near any of you :( I'm slap bang in the middle

love you lo's name thats the name we have picked for a girl:cloud9:

And she's only going to get heavier :( Have you tried a cloth baby carrier? maybe they are more supportive with ur back?

I love Lena too, but DH doesnt :'( He does love your boy name "maximilian" but I doesn't like how it's said in English! He's so fussy!:dohh:
We plan to go with something more English that works in German, rather than a German one that works in English, if you get me :)

Haha, since Aug 2010 :P So basically the same! Yeah, we'd pretty much called our child Elizabeth since we met, and then a friend of ours named her girl that about 8 months ago :'(
I can second the friends thing, Only friends I have in Siegen are the ones I met in my German course!:dohh: so they are all foreign as well! My German is still not very good though, so unless people speak english, there isnt really any way for me to be friends with them :'(

I really wish something like that existed in Siegen, it's just a small city and it's just really just Germans! We should leave here within the next year, maybe go to bonn or dusseldorf (or even the UK). So I can look forward to leaving Siegen :P I don't work here either, which makes my life so boring atm. Does your MIL speak English? Or wait, you might not be married! IDK!

lol yes we are married lol she can say a few words but not too much she tries but we get mixed up talking to each other:haha: yeh i dont work neither so its a very boring life i lead atm dussledorf has a very big english speaking community if you were to go there they actualy have clubs for it

Yeah my MIL speaks a bit, I've gotten to the stage where mine is better than hers though. Although when I have a hard German sentence I sometimes just say it in english and she gets the gist of what I'm saying (well mostly....sometimes). I get so tired speaking German though :( And if there is a group of people, there is no way I can follow along.

How is your pregnancy going so far? Morning sickness?

We are the same on the name front-- Something especially that doesnt make you look like some sort of 'Kevinism' victim.( Kevinism= German version of 'chav' names, and even names that would be not bad in normal English or American couple have a bad reputation in germany-(like kevin, or Justin or Jason- where the parents have often very German surnames ) (or chantelle shayenne or similar)
