My darling new daughter Luisa is 5 days old today and I finally had enough sleep to post here this morning while everyone is still asleep 
Short and sweet birth story:
I went in to my doc's office on Tuesday at 37 weeks exactly with a bad headache, blurred vision and high BP at 1pm, he asked when the last time I had something to eat and I told him at 10:30am... then hse said "ok, so make ur way to the hospital in the next few hours and we'll get the scetion scheduled for about 6:30 tonight" --- just like that! So I left the doc's office knowing that my baby girl was going to be born in a few hours.
So my husband and I met at home, took my older daughter to my sister's and headed to the hospital. After preparations, surgery began around 7:45 and Luisa was born at 8:03pm weighing 6 punds 3 ounces and 19 1/4 inches long. The c section went great, no complications - it was wonderful. I was just so happy that she was born healthy and beautiful
We stayed in the hospital from Tuesday night until Friday morning and all was well. Luisa's sugar levels were low, so even though I was nursing we had to supplement with formula for the 1st 2 days. But thank goodness, she didn't have any nipple confusion and we're now just breastfeeding.
Life at home has been wonderful so far, my older DD has been great and excited and in love with her little sister. My DH and I are trying to figure out how to function with little sleep while we get used to her and her noises and our schedules of feeding. I started pumping yesterday and looking at that "liquid sleep" makes me so happy
She's beautiful and perfect and a really good baby. She eats and sleeps and is not fussy at all except when we change her, she doesn't like being naked... other than that, she's always content.
