Lol. My ex was circ'ed. First circ'ed one I ever saw (and I seriously did used to be a slut when young, free and single lol). Took me a long time to get used to it because it is a different technique with your hands for sure. Sort of add some lube and use a looser grip was the only way I could get the hang of it.
Incidentally he had his done for medical reasons (not sure exactly what) in his late teens and was always very angry about it as he said it definitely desensitised things down there. Obviously those that get it done young do not notice any different and are sensitive down there... but they do not know differently. In this one example (the only one I have lol) the guy had already found "sexual self pleasure" when it was done and categorically noticed a vast difference.
While we're on the subject... he was also the least "clean" down there of any (alllllll of them lol) the guys I've seen intimately. He claimed that being circ'ed made him cleaner and more hygenic naturally and so he cleaned less down there himself. He was also reluctant to use condoms (he couldn't get an STI of course). I think most of that is due to a lack of proper information readily available in the UK (internet aside) more than anything though.
Not saying everyone is the same - just my experience xx
See this is what I am afraid of, were moving to the states at the end if the year and I'm terrified, should we have a boy, that they are going to circumsise my son without my consent. My husband who is American reasures me that they would have a really big lawsuit if they did it as they need parents written consent.
I said in the earlier part of the thread, majority of the men in the UK are not circumcised...... Yet they seem to manage just fine!! No hygiene problems.
To the poster who said doctors push circumcision: I can only speak for Canada, really just Ontario (as it may be different in other provinces), but here you have to pay several hundred dollars to have your son circumcised unless it's for medical reasons. My brother and sil had to request it at the hospital with my nephew as it wasn't offered to them.
I think it's the same here in Alberta. My best friend had both of her sons circumcised, and both times she had to request it, and pay $300(ish).

they apologised a bunch and said that it was so uncommon for someone to say no that they normally asked and then ok them because the mums always say yes. it further annoyed me because then asked if they information on circ's and why they arent medically necessary anymore so that people can make an informed decision if they are going to constantly ask if the parents are going ot have it done. they said no they dont provide information about it. and then the nurse tried to tell me it prevents AIDS.

same in bc. it's not offered. infact, no one in our city of 80,000 people does it...you have to go elsewhere to get it done (and pay). that's what we did...except the doctor told us 8 out of 10 boys weren't circ'd and if we did, our son would be 'different'. i said no at that point, and now he is 8. we have had no issues. funnily enough, my sister's son who is cir'd (9 years old now) has suffered a couple uti's. i am glad my son has his winter touque.
ok. There is NO WAY 80% of men in the U.S are circumsised?! I have never saw a circumcised one in my life
Also not sure how I feel about the AIDs spreading in gay men comment, that seems a bit stereotypical to me... anyone could get HIV.
Anyways, I've not read all the replies but..
What would happen when people needed circumcision for medical purposes?
I can't say this law seems fair. If people didn't do it for religious reasons, then I'd say sure, go ahead. But it seems a bit discriminatory is muslims and jews IMO.
I highly doubt it will pass.
OHs friend's son just had to be circ'd, he's 3. He claims its because his mom wasnt pulling back his foreskin during bath time and it got infected. what I personally think happened, is his mother & father are seperated. His father has him every second weekend. I think his father pulled the foreskin back before it needed to be, and then his mother didn't know .. and then it got infected. Just my theory though..
Noooooo they would definitely not circumsise without your consent! Don't worry, hun. You will be asked when you are admitted into the hospital about all sorts of things, and one of the questions is are you having him circumsized or not. There will be a form or forms you have to fill out and sign before they would ever even think about it. Don't worry .

ur not supposed to pull the foreskin back at that age :S so i agree with u and its to do with the dad pulling it back before it was ready

exactly. but I think once it is pulled back, you must continue. So I really think dad pulled it back when he shouldn't have, mom & dad don't communicate, so mom didn't pull it back .. hence, infection (actually think he got several infections before being circ'd) so could have gone on for a while ..
