Yeah as everyone says antibiotics wont do anything for it. Abigail was hospitalised through dehydration caused by this and the only thing they could give her was throat numbing spray. She had the rash worst in her mouth, had something like 16 sores when she was admitted to hospital. The rash was all over her body, including some non blanching areas that were on her arms and thighs. It only turned to blisters on her hands and feet.
She didnt eat or drink for nearly 5 days, the last 2 of those were in hospital, but i think she was being really stubborn cos even when the blisters had started to improve she still refused food or drink. You need to keep an eye out for dehydrations signs (no wet nappys, sunken eyes etc) and def take him to A and E if you spot any of these. People have suggested piriton on other threads so maybe some of that will calm the rash down? Also calpol and nurofen can be alternated every 2 hours throughout the day to keep the pain down.
