Title says it all really. I have been ebf since my LO was born just over 4 weeks ago. In a couplr of weeks im going out for the eve (something that has been booked since before I got pregnant!) And will need to express some bottles for my hubby to feed ourson. We have a breast pump, is there any particular way I have to do it? Ive read if u do it wrong it can mess with ur milk supply? How do I store it? Does it have to be warmed up to give to LO? Does it matter when I express? Sorry to sound like such an idiot but its not something that has been covered when discussing breastfeeding at all.

I exclusively breast pump. Put it in a lowish suction setting so it doesn't hurt, I store mine in the fridge and warm it up because fridge temp is obviously too cold, but room temp should be fine. I would say pump after you breast feed so you've completely drained your breasts. It's pretty simple really! Pump shouldn't hurt so if it does you have it on too high a setting!
