Help! Blanket cover is leaching out color

Don't know where to post, so anyway here it goes.

We purchased baby blanket and pillow and their covers from a local e-shop that claims to sell quality stuff which is tested etc. And it looks also quite pretty.

Now, we got this orange one and it seems to leach the color
I found it as my little one is kicking a lot her leggings and socks got the orange tint and it makes me concerned.
I am afraid that pillow is also leaching out color and baby's delicate skin may absorb it.

Also somewhere I read that its important where one sleeps and during sleep we tend to absorb from our surroundings more than during the day....
ykwim, so this is kind of bothering me


Should I claim it? What should I do.
Did anyone have experience with such thing?

Why don't you just give them a couple of good washes? Put something like a white towel or a colour catcher sheet in there to see if any dye is coming out in the water. It may fade a little bit if some dye does come out but it would do that anyway with time.

We are advised against using pillows here in the UK anyway so if you're worried about the pillow in particular, just don't use it until it's been washed a bit.
