help US purchases - debit card or paypal?

Hi ladies

I need to order my OHs present from the US (Cult of Mac website)

Should I use my debit card or paypal? does anyone know what has cheaper fees for exchanging the currancy?

In my experience they tend to work out about the same but I usually prefer if they have paypal because sometimes US sites can't handle international details when you put in your debt card (that doesn't happen very often to be fair).

Personally I'd use Pay Pal. You have more buyer protection that way, and no worries about your bank not authorising the international payment.

thanks ladies does anyone know roughly how much il get charged? the payment is for $89

I think it tells you before you finish but I just tried a payment to myself and it came up with 58 pounds (exchange rate of 1.51)

It said $0 postage and $0 tax and paypal said £58 quid - didnt tell me the exchange fee but Il just accept what ever it is - it already had 75% off anyways so I can accept a few fees and maybe customs lol
