My MS is starting to get worse. I have yet to actually be sick (touch wood), but I have the constant nauseated feeling of being on the brink of vomiting. :nope: I had to leave work early today because I felt so ill and its not something I can do often because of my minimal sick leave. I'm not having problems eating or drinking, but nothing seems to be helping.

I've tried sea bands (which took the edge off for a bit but now that MS is worse they are not working), ginger biscuits, saltines, ginger ale, etc. Is there anything else I can try? I'm not sure if I can take any medications right now.

My first doctor's appointment is Thursday morning and I don't know if I can make it. I have a major deadline to hit at the end of the week for work and I NEED to go, I'm just afraid of being sick everywhere

I don't know, I'm sorry, but I'm hoping if I respond it'll go higher and someone will know how to help. Good Luck! My sister talked about carrying her garbage can from her desk around with her everywhere she went to puke all day...everyday...for 3 months...

gaviscon chewables, which are safe to take in pregnancy, work wonders for me or eating a bowl of cereal (although not as portable!)
Hope it gets better for you soon

:flower:

I was having the same issues. Missed 4 days of work, which is def a problem. I called my OB/GYN and they prescribed Zofran. I was nervous about taking anything but it has SAVED ME. I would call them and try to get yourself some hun. it is the only thing that has helped me (and allowed me to stay at work) GL!

Try real Ginger in tea or candied. It works much better. Ginger ale did nothing for me. Also lemon is good, in water or just to smell. Sucking on hard candies helps me for a moment. And don't forget to eat frequently. An empty tummy is a sick one. My dr said to try unison 1/2 am 1/2 pm but I wad too afraid to take during the day and be more sleepy. Good luck! I know it's no fun

Definitely give them a call and see if they can call you in some zofran, works great; also, try Preggie Pops. Good luck and H/H pregnancy!

If you do end up taking zofran, be forewarned it can cause constipation.

I find that Emetrol (like cola syrup but without caffeine) eases the nausea, but not for long. I got a script for Zofran but haven't taken it yet. Keep hoping that the ginger and crackers will work... Emetrol is over the counter, btw, and generic works just as well.

I just started Zofran yesterday, seems to be helping quite a bit. With my insurance the copay was only 10.00 for the generic, I was expecting to pay big bucks, but was pleasantly surprised by the low price!!

I've been carrying a snack bag of nuts, dried fruit and hard sweets around with me, as its the only thing that stops me feeling nauseous. I need something in my mouth all the time! But I find if I eat too big a meal I feel even worse and the food feels like its stuck in my throat - ick! that's when I've been physically ill...

So like others have said on here, little and often works best! good luckxx
