Me and my husband were in hysterics at Doug's parents the other night. My husband said theres no way they are actually Americans, the accents are so put on. At least they bring a bit of (unintentional) comedy to an otherwise boring few episodes!

Lol tell your hubby hes wrong and they are American haha! I looked it up when they first appeared in it coz they sounded so awful but yup both American (although the dad grew up in Europe and Australia haha). I did the same when Doug joined and was GOBSMACKED when I found he really was American.

Hahaha. I am glad I am not the only one that finds them annoying and their accents sound fake. I wonder if it is because they're against the British accents and so sound extreme, therefore fake!?!?! It's like when I watch American series and there are no British people in it, I dont hear the AMerican accents, whereas if I see an American series and their is a British person in it, their accent always sounds weird and fake

Their acting is shit regardless of their accents though
