Hollyoaks

They announced yesterday that Baney has left and his final scenes were this week, as he goes home. Is it me or did anymore else think he had already left? he hasnt been in it for ages!

He's already gone then? I saw him briefly on screen with Ash at Will's flat the other day but that's it

Hollyoaks bosses have cast actress Sophie Austin to play new character Lindsey Butterfield, Digital Spy can exclusively confirm.

Lindsey is the fiancée of the eldest Roscoe brother Joe (Ayden Callaghan) and will make her first appearance on screen early next month.

Billed as "feisty, determined and driven", Lindsey is more than capable of holding her own with the outspoken Roscoe boys.

Lindsey's romance with Joe is a strong one as he regards her as the love of his life, while family matriarch Sandy (Gillian Taylforth) enjoys having another female living in the house.

The new arrival will also be working at the local hospital as a junior doctor, which means sharing plenty of scenes with schemer Doctor Browning (Joseph Thompson) as the pair become colleagues.

Speaking of her new role, Austin commented: "I'm so excited to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks as Lindsey Butterfield and being part of the Roscoe clan. We have lots of exciting stories ahead."

This obviously all ties in with Lynsey coming back as a ghost to haunt the doctor, and she must just trigger it off, by having the same name and same job as the late lynsey :(

I'm really not enjoying HO at all at the moment, I can't seem to watch more than 2 eps in a row at the moment. It's a shame, it's almost like if it's not a big storyline like Silas, or Brendan etc etc then they just don't care and put no real effort into it. Even the Texas murder has been crap.

Anyone else cant stand the new Finn? His facial expressions make me want to punch him. As if Sinead wasn't bad enough.

Yep I hate him!

Watched last night's E4 episode this morning and it's just crap atm. Nothing interesting in the slightest.

Did anyone see them on This Morning? Claire Cooper sounds nothing like Jacqui... very surreal :haha:

oh no i missed it, what time was it? what time was it? will watch it on cathup

no worries just watched online

i really hope they win something for last years stuff

Emmett could be dressed in drag I dont caaaaaare!

Hollyoaks won 5 awards, maybe this will push them to actually care about the storylines between the big stuff now?

What's with bloody villain of the year??!?!?! Jesus!

5 awards ain't enough I tell ya. Emmett deserved several and if I'm trying to be unbiased I still say he's a fabulous actor in comparison to those nominees

Agreed! I did stalk Twitter in the run up to the results being released... and squealed like a crazy person when I saw who won best partnership  Emmett definitely deserved best exit though, that was the one I really wanted him to get!! I mean come on, Lewis from Corrie?! :saywhat:

I cringe watching any soaps now, but back when Emmett had his storylines they were really gripping.

Hollyoaks IS shit just now. I said it
