Home Birthers & Hopefuls!

Oh no :( I really hope the speacialist says its nothing :hugs: Im hoping she is just one of the many who get a bad first report, then see the specialist and all is well. It actually happened with my first (he was fine), but its such an emotional rollercoaster :( I know a few other girls this happened to and turned out to be fine. Will pray that is this woman's situation too :hugs:

Here's hoping! She seems pretty final about it, I guess she's trying not to hope too much only to have her hopes dashed.

totally understand that. it is such hard news to take. One minute everything is fine and the next you feel hopeless. Best of luck to her and her beany :hugs:

I think I'm a bit shocked as I only found lout she was pg last week! They hadnt been making a big thing of it.

theres also a surprising lot they can do to correct issues in the womb, stressful and upsetting to have to go through of course :(

its awful as most people feel like phew 12w scan done, everythings gonna be fine, and i know i personally didnt even imagine that there would be any problems at the 20w, even tho thats what its for.

fingers crossed for them

She's barely showing yet, I remember thinking fecking hell, by 24 weeks I looked MASSIVE and she isnt far behind me! LOL

sam, i hope your baby turns

ttc bubby, congrats on your baby!

blah - and any others with naughty non-head down babies: have you considered moxibustion as an alternative/addition to ECV? Apparently it has a 70% success rate

ttc bubby no.2 - congratulations

never heard of it, shall have a read!

sorry to hear iof your friends sad news chuck

I hear Webster's Technique is good for a breech and posterior babies!!! You can get it done at a chiropractor, but they have to be trained in it (i think most are). Its about 80% effective, so def. worth a try!...ive heard acupuncture and moxibustion work wonders as well!

the sticks don't actually touch your skin, just hover above it. I have no idea *how* it works and as a scientist was sceptical, but they do have a very high success rate and as it is so non-invasive i would have definitely been giving it a go had Cora not turned at 37 weeks.

Oh and Cora was a big baby and still managed to turn herself at that late stage so there is every chance your bubs will turn of its own accord too :hugs:

I think we're having a bit of a practice run here...i've been having contractions since 12.47am but they're a bit all over the place. They're lasting between 30 and 45 seconds but the timing of them is pretty irregular

Would so love for it to be the real thing but am trying not to get too excited in case it's another false start!

are you having any back labor? I had irregular contractions 100% with my son...he was posterior. but they were always less than 5 minutes apart, though inconsistent.

Drink, eat, walk, shower, sleep, if you still have them after that, then its safe to assume labor. Sometimes contractions are not textbook, no matter what the position of the baby is.

Best of luck to you! :dust:

burning me with sticks?!

LOL its not quite as barbaric as that!

I neve needed it but apparently its really good! Even my MW suggested it when Dewi was topsy turvy.

Ooo rebaby! This could be it!

I've put poppers on some of my post partum pads (I ran out of poppers and dh can't find my resin snaps in the shed :() and made my cord tie today! Bored now! Got nothing left to do really!

Dh is on leave for the next 2 weeks and I'm sure he'll be getting under my feet!

So exciting! I hope we have 3 new hb achievers atleast by Halloween :D

Oohh someone needs to give me an anniversary pressie of a Halloween baby!

hi

hope youre feeling well rebaby, good luck, and if its not it then, well, its lovely that you got to have a bit of a practice :)

Ive had moxi burning with sticks thing if its the same thing that im thinking of. its some herb or other compressed into a stick and they light the end so its glowing like incense. had it while ttc and it was as well as acupuncture. they just kinda hover over the skin a bit so the warmth goes in deeper. its rly nice actually. thats as long as im not thinking of something completely different of course!
