Hoping April is Our month for good things to happen

That sounds like it could be implanation bleeding savvy!! 7DPO is right in line with when implantation might happen!! Super excited for you!!

Thanks for the feedback on the drinking. I will probably only have 1 drink. Even though some days I do feel like just getting plastered. I think another thing messing me up right now is I made all those trips by myself except the first appointment. My husband's cousin was in town for his 3 days off. Along with that, he spent all his time with herduring the day & stayed up with her at night, so I feel like I have not had any time with him in over a week...& that really messes me up. I will feel so much better tomorrow when he is off.

Savvy, I am sorry your LP seems to have gotten even shorter! But the way I see it, you have a clear understanding of at least one thing not going the right way. So it is highly possible they will put you on P while you wait for a new cycle...& that could be all you need.

Beaglemom, I am glad you will have some alone time with your hubby for your birthday! What is your favorite drink?

Now I am super confused, I just checked and no more red, it is just brownish/dark pink when I wipe. I do have terrible AF cramps though...maybe I am spotting and starting AF tomorrow? Ugh I am so confused!

I basically drink anything tropical. But if drinking wine, I like desert wine.

Not sure Savvy...I agree with Floridasian that it could be implantation...but I am not the person to ask. I spot right before AF...but if it is new, hopefully it is a good sign. You can have the lighter bleeding & intense cramping & still be pregnant.

beaglemom, it is a hard road, indeed. TTC is hands-down the most emotional thing I've ever gone through. Women who just decide to start trying and get pregnant in a couple months are SO lucky, and I doubt they even know it. Btw, I have been an emotional wreck as well, but oddly enough yesterday (two days after taking last pill) was my most emotional day. I couldn't snap out of it, and DH didn't know what the heck to do with me. My side effects were usually delayed on Clomid as well. If I recall, for me the side effects weren't usually while I was taking the pills, it was usually for a few days right up to O time. Chin up, lady. This is definitely a fight...but it's a fight that will be worth every second in the end.

savvy.... wow, seriously, if this bleeding/spotting is unusual for you, i think the other girls are right... perfect time for implantation. I looked at your temp, and it seems to be right at a sort of middle temp for you... not high, but not your lowest either. Temps often drop right at implantation too!

floridasian, feel better soon! I hope the antibiotics do the trick. :flower:

Moni, THANKS. I'm getting super excited too! I kind of have butterflies in my stomach when I think about it. LOL

So, the nurse called me a little bit ago and scheduled our appointments for Wed. DH has to go in at 8:15am to do his thing, and then the IUI will be at 10:30am. I did run home at 3:15 today because he was able to get home from work early, and we BD super quick :haha: And I got back to work. Nobody even noticed I was gone. That's not quite 48 hours, but right at 41 hours. The nurse even asked me when the last time was that we BD, and when I said "earlier today", she said that was totally fine. So I'm glad we got one session in before. I'll trigger tonight, and just pray that ovulation will really hold off until Wed. For some reason, I have this odd feeling that the trigger is going to make them pop right out in a second. Crazy, I know... I'm just always so paranoid about that early ovulation thing (Savvy, crazy that you and I have complete opposite issues that stress us out like that!). Moni, since you're an early ovulator, can you tell me... after you took your trigger shot, did your ovulation usually hold out for a while, or did it sometimes come earlier?

Oh, as for drinking with these meds.... I agree that if you're not binge drinking, you're fine! And I know you certainly aren't a binge drinker, beaglemom, LOL. I was at the spa on Friday (day 5 of my femara), and I had several glasses of wine while I was there. It was spread out, since we could only really sip on the wine in between treatments, but I still probably managed to get several glasses in throughout the day. Other than that though, I won't drink after the trigger shot and for the next couple weeks. I honestly dont think that it hurts, and I typically have happy hour occasionally during the TWW. I just decided this time after the IUI, that I'll probably avoid it. This will probably be the first TWW that I've completely avoided alcohol.

(TMI again) Super confused by what my body is trying to do...I really hope you girls are right and this is implantation bleeding. It is the strangest thing ever, heavy spotting when I wipe and the reason I believed it was AF was because it had some red in it and tiny red pieces in the toilet. I guess I should know for sure later today or tomorrow. I have full blown cramps, probably the worst cramps I have had in a long time. Doubled over in pain and almost sick.

Beaglemom, I totally think you are fine with a drink or two tomorrow, but I think I would stick to water the rest of the day and maybe try to drink a little extra water. Enjoy your birthday drink since it might be the last one for 9 months! :)

Erin, I wish we could put our ovulation days together and ovulate more mid-cycle! It is crazy how different bodies do completely different things. That is great you were able to BD this afternoon and I think 41 hours will be completely fine. Positive vibes that the trigger is quick and easy!

Erin, I just remembered what they told me about BD. They said in my class you will be told to trigger then have sex that night. The main reason is to "clear the tubes". Yeh, that's what they said. I see it as a clearing & a backup to the IUI.

Good luck! So exciting!

I am glad to know the femara is effecting you in kind of the same way. I think that plus everything else going on is just too much & by mind can't take it all in.

Definitely AF, onto the next cycle and hopefully the RE can help me with my super short LP. :(

Savvy, sorry :( I'm waiting for my AF to clear out, so I can start again!

Beaglemom, hope tomorrow is better. Totally okay to feel the way you do.

Just wondering, when you all first got testing done? I think I'm supposed to wait until a year of trying before seeing anyone, but I wish I could know sooner rather than later. Did you go through your primary doctor or OBGYN at first? Thanks, trying to stay calm and relax....but also want to be informed and proactive, if possible.

Thanks Jane, what CD are you on?

As far as testing we have been ttc for a year and we are finally getting started on the testing now. We are older (30+) and I kind of wish I would have started this process a few months ago. I started seeing a new OB after our m/c and he said I would be pregnant within 6 months with "well timed intercourse". He would not do any tests on us for 6 months. I waited, hoping that I would become pregnant but after wasting the last 3 cycles I called to make an appointment with an RE and had to wait over a month for the first available appointment. If you haven't seen your OB yet, you could try to schedule an appointment and see if they are willing to do some simple tests.

I have always believed if you are young (under 30) & you have never had any issues with your cycle, try for a year...& try to relax & have fun when you are doing that. No need to make it hard if it doesn't have to be. But if you have had ANY kind of issues...cysts, irregular cycles, husband had any injuries that could effect sperm...or are older...get tested sooner! By older, I amy even consider that 30+. So many things change in our bodies when we turn 30 that we may not even realize. I also believe every woman should be seeing a regular gyno once a year. I know there are insurance & money issues sometimes. I am lucky to get one exam a year without paying anything...then after that it is a $30 copay. But if you can afford it, you should be seeing one regularly anyways. If you have decided to TTC, your first step should be to get a regular checkup with a gyno...tell them your plan & get their opinion. A typical wait time for a young healthy couple is one year. After that, if your dr is not doing any kind of tests & not going at the right pace, do not hesitate to dump them! I feel lucky to have had a gyno who knew what pace I wanted to go at...she pushed me gently (& I needed pushing). She was also able to do IUI in her office. Despite it not working, I am still comfortable with the pace I went...now I am on cycle 1 with a specialist. If you can, do as much testing with a gyno as possible. When you get to an FS, the prices are ridiculous...so is insurance.

Happy Birthday Beaglemom!! :cake:

Thanks!

I just had my free breakfast at IHOP with my husband. I am sure you are aware, but for those who are not, go to every restaurant you enjoy & give them your email. When your birthday rolls around, you can really take advantage. I had a free IHOP breakfast, later is a free firehouse sub, & at dinner a free appetizer at Texas Roadhouse.

Now I am SO TIRED! But I hope to have a much better day today. I got the fedex confirmation, so I will be checking that all day until I see it is actually on a truck!

Erin, did you trigger last night? How did it go? I am so nervous about my meds.

Yum, it sounds like a fun day! I love freebie birthday treats! My hubby always takes my birthday off work and then we run around town grabbing all the freebies I am signed up for. It is so much fun. This is a good list of freebies to sign up for:

Happy Birthday beaglemom! Sounds like you've started it out great with a dee-lish breakfast at IHOP. Great idea about birthday freebies, girls! That never occurred to me. My birthday will be in July, so I will definitely keep that in mind.

Yep, I triggered last night at like 7:45. It really wasn't bad at all. The worst part of it was my own anxiety. I didn't have DH do it, because the closer it got to time, the more I just wanted to be in control of it. But I wasn't sure how I was going to get my brain to get my hands to push the needle in! As it turned out, I didn't even feel the needle go in, and barely felt it while it was in there at all. It was painless, and there is no bruising or anything. I can't even find the spot where I did it now. I would bet that people who have to do that kind of thing everyday, get used to it after only a couple times.

So I did an OPK this morning, and it was SUPER, SUPER dark, and a smiley on the CB digi. I have no doubt that's from the shot, so I'm just hoping that my egg holds out until as close to IUI time as possible. My temp was still in pre-O temps this morning.

savvy, I'm so sorry that AF officially came. :hugs: I know your RE is going to be able to help you with your LP.

Hope, I don't know how old you are, but if you're in your twenties and have pretty regular cycles, and just recently started TTC, I'd just take it easy and try for a bit, and not worry about it. But that said, you should also go with what feels right to you. I started TTC at 36, so I wish I'd started testing at 6 months. But I waited to talk to my Dr until about 9 months in. I started with my OB first, and he did a few things. But I had to ask for an HSG and certain types of bloodwork. I love him, and he'll do whatever I ask, but I did have to ask.... so you have to follow your gut and be proactive when you feel its time. This cycle is my first cycle with an RE. They're the ones who are REALLY proactive, because getting women prego is what they specialize in.

Oh, that reminds me of something I wanted to add...if you do not already have an OB, when researching to find one, check to see if they are considered to have a specialty in fertility. This is not the same as a fertility specialist. But mine has a specialty in fertility, so I think that made her more proactive in her testing with me. This will also help in not needing a referral early on & it is SO MUCH easier getting as much done with the original OB as possible before moving on the specialist.

That is great about the shot. I hope mine go well tonight...but I have a few days of shots! But I checked fedex again & my package is on the truck for delivery!

I think you are good to go...the trigger is meant to make you O 36-39 hours later...& an opk picks up the surge about 12-36 hours before...you are right on time!

I hope ou have the same experience as me with the IUI procedure. It was super easy & I only felt mild/intense cramping for about 5-15 seconds. But everyone is different, so I hope yours is smooth. Then you lie down for a bit & off you go to your normal routine. I think I am taking the day off for mine, though...with the drive & having to wait around for washing...I would rather just be off so I can relax & not worry about work.

Erin, glad that the trigger was easy and painless! I am excited for your IUI tomorrow, good luck and let us know how it goes!

Beaglemom, great tip! I wish I would have thought about finding an OB that had a specialty in fertility. Oh well, I am moving on and ready to see my RE...one week until my appointment!!

I cannot wait to see all the bfp this month. i have an amazing feeling of positivity for you ladies getting your bfp.

As for me- This cycle has been very odd. I dont really know what has been going on with my body the last couple of months. i had a 32day cycle 28 day cycle and now i am on cd 18 and still getting lows on my cbfm, negatives on opk, and no temp rise yet. dh and i are bding every other day until i get a positive opk and then we try the smep. just not sure wants going on with my hormones. really hopeing to be pregnant next cycle for my march baby.
