Hello everyone. I am starting a new thread for April. I hope everyone will join me. For the new folks, I am posting a link to March in case you want to catch up & get to know our group. Newbies are always welcome :)

I think we have been doing this since December...unfortunately, we have not seen as many :bfp: as we would have liked...but most of us seem to be at a point where we are able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As for me, I am waiting on IUI #3. I also have an appointment with a fertility specialist if this IUI doesn't work. I have been on 50 mg of clomid doing IUI with my gyno timed with opks. I have also just started acupuncture & hoping that helps. We are dealing with low sperm count, but so far nothing has been found to be wrong on my side. I am also planning some very unconditional methods like spiritual advisors & also my own form of meditation at home. This cycle for me is supposed to be all about clensing my mind, soul, & body. As far as body, I am not doing anything drastic, but I am trying to stay away from soda & fast food all month. I am also weening myself off of my daily dose of caffeine in the mornings.

I hope to see some new faces & lots of good news this month.

Hi everyone! Coming over here to join the new thread!

I am on my 3rd cycle after my early m/c back in December. My LP was only 9 days the previous two cycles. Today I went in for a Progesterone test, my chart shows I am 5dpo but I really think I am at 6 or 7dpo. Anyways I am unavailable tomorrow to go to the lab so I decided to go today. I am thinking I am out this cycle, my temp dipped way down below my coverline this morning and I have zero symptoms this cycle.

Hoping to see some familiar friends as well as some newbies! Lets make this a good month and hopefully see lots of bfps soon!

I'll join! March was my first TTC cycle, and I'm either 17DPO or 7DPO...bc I can't figure out my O day. Regardless, don't feel any pregnancy symptoms and we didn't really BD as much as we should have...so I think we'll be trying again in April! ...with OPKs this time, ha.

2015 is a cooler birth year anyway :)

I am estimating based on my last 2 cycles, my IUI will be around April 7th. If it takes, I will be having a Christmas baby! :xmas12:

Thinking good thoughts for you beagle! Hope it takes!!

I'm going to jump in, if that's okay. Nice to "meet" you all!

My husband and I are very closely nearing the one year mark with all this. This site has been an awesome help, even if it's just keeping sane some days. :)

My cycles are a little off the last couple months. Saturday, started spotting which has already stopped. Not sure what's going on, so I finally scheduled a doctor's appointment for Wednesday. Hoping to get some answers and that April is going to be our month!

Hi!
Can I join? AF is due on April 9th.
Crayons- do you usually spot? I have for the past 2 months for the first time ever! Now is the time when I usually start spotting so I dread every time I have to use the bathroom!
This is my 7 months TTC #1.
Thinking of starting acupuncture as a last ditch effort before going to the doc! Anyone have experience with that? Or spotting??

I normally spot before AF. It can be a sign of low progesterone, but I have had mine tested & it was normal. I would recommend getting your blood tested. But also if you have been ttc less than a year & have no known cycle issues, I would not go all in to testing unless you have an age factor. The one test I would recommend early on is the semen analysis. it is an easy test & can rule out the male factor.

I just had my first acupuncture last Thursday & it went fine. I hate having my blood drawn so I thought I would freak out. But I honestly did not feel any of the needles except when he told me it would be sensitive. I felt fine during, but a little bit after I was nauseous & had a bad headache. The headache could have just as easily been my clomid because it started up again over the weekend. But the nausea had to be from the acupuncture. I am not looking at it negatively, though. I have heard the first few sessions can have effects on you. I am going again tomorrow. I will let you know if the side effects continue. Be sure to tell them why you are there...it makes a difference in the needle placement. I am also going to an asian doctor who I cannot understand well, but good enough...& he is very nice.

HELLO! Maybe you will give us some "positive" energy. :)

Thanks!
I am 32 so I am going to give it to the end of the summer before I call my doctor. (It will be a year in October) I am terrified of an HSG test.

Thanks for the advice on acupuncture... I think I will give it a whirl next month :)

Allison- are you expecting? Sorry, new to the thread :)

Fellowes, yes I am. I'm currently 7 weeks and 1 day! I've been chatting with these ladies for a few months now and just can't leave! Lol

And also, Fellowes, hsg is nothing to be scared off. I didn't feel any pain or anything even though they said I might. And it was only a couple minutes so just real quick uncomfortableness. No need to worry. : )

Thanks!

The HSG can be hit & miss. Mine felt like the first couple of days of AF....very intense cramping. However, I had not blocks. Another one of our girls had HSG & she had a block. She described the pain as almost unbearable. I honestly don't think you should be scared or nervous. It is usually a quick procedure. The best way to look at it is if you do have a block...the dye will sometimes clear it which causes the pain...that is a good thing! Also, just think of an HSG as your first step towards motherhood...if you can't handle the HSG, you may not want to think about what labor will feel like ;) I was nervous, too...but it doesn't last long & good things comes from it.

Thanks, Allison! Cheers to a happy and healthy 9 months :) Is this your first?

Beaglemom- very good point :) labor pains seen worth it, but I guess if you think about HSG is a step towards motherhood as well! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way!

I'm jumping over...

I am 36 and have been ttc #1 since Nov of 2012. This month we are doing our 4th IUI. I have gotten the doc to agree to back to back IUIs by paying out of pocket for the second. They will prob be this weekend.

Hi Savvy, I replied to your one of your posts in our March thread. And sadly I was thinking exactly the same as you: I'm out for this month. I don't want to go there yet. I keep dreaming about BFP's it's crazy. I swear I woke up today seeing little BFP's blinking like they do here... I'm going nuts!
When will you have the results of the Progesterone test?

Allison you're my inspiration! Keep us company and hopefully some of your "whatever it is that got you pregnant" will rub off on the rest of us

Saying hi in the April thread. I'm 35 and got my BFP 4 months into the TTC journey but miscarried in early Jan. I've been recovering from the m/c since and depending on the outcome of the SHG on Wednesday hopefully I'll be given the green light to TTC again this cycle. I can't wait!!
