How do you invert colours on a photo?

I'm doing my ovulation tests and I THINK todays are starting to get darker (FX). But I've heard that inverting the colours on a photo makes it easier. Anyone know how to do this?

What kind of photo editing software do you have? If none, try Picnik.com. It's free.

Also, if you have an image, I own Adobe Photoshop, so I would be more than happy to tinker with it for you.
