Hi Ladies,

Just wondering how long everyone was ttc for before they received the BFP ??
We are only on our third month of trying, but I am just curious as to how long it has taken some other ladies.

Thanks, and congrats to you all :)

Hi there newly weds, well I have still yet to get my BFP. Hubby and I have been trying for 2 years now with no luck :-(. I got diagnosed with PCOS 18 months ago after coming off the pill and not to have a period. I have been on a number if medications which did not help so 1 week ago I went for laparoscopy, HSG, D/C and ovarian drilling to put holes in my ovaries. I'm currently on cd 11 after taking clomid from cd5-9 and I'm getting some promising signs my CM is changing to wet with a bit of EWCM which has beaver ever happend for me. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed :) lots if BDIng in my house he he. Are you a PCOS sufferer ? I really hope you get tour BFP soon 2 of my friends has just got there bfp on there 4th month if trying :) maybe it's a
Lucky month ! Keep us updated how you do :)

first time it was first time (literally first time me and OH ever had intercourse :o)

this time its been over 12 months and we are are being referred to a specialist, already had scans done 8 months ago due to septicemia and my ovaries, tubes and uterus are clear of infection, tumors or cysts so just have to wait for a letter of referral to arrive

Hi ladies, Thanks for responding !

Saralou81 - Sorry to hear of your troubles ! I have seen many stories on here of women suffering of the same thing.. I hope these treatments work for you and you get your bfp this month !! We are only approaching month 3, so we have no been working on it for very long, but I was just curious as to how quickly (or slowly) it happened for other ladies around the world. But everyone's body is different, and I believe there is a plan waiting for us so there is no point in trying to rush our bfp because it will happen when it is supposed to ! I hope to stay in touch to see how your journey goes !!

JJKCB - Wow, it definitely did happen quickly the first time !! I hope you have some luck very soon :) Sending baby dust your way !

3 months to first bfp, then miscarried, a year after that, I got my second bfp but that was a chemical. 2 years after that, I got my bfp which resulted in my son and this time round, just one month properly trying x

Thanks everyone :) I love hearing about other ladies stories

With my first son it took 1 month, with my 2nd , I'm still trying to CONCIEVE after 3 years. ( they have found out this week my tubes are blocked and I'll have surgery next week to fix this

Trying to conceive starting properly from next month.

We started trying in Feb 2009 for our first and fell pregnant in March on the second cycle. I then had a miscarriage over the Easter weekend in April and we started trying again and spent the rest of the year TTC. Got my BFP on my birthday in January 2010. Ellie was born in the the September.

As the first time it happened straight away and the second time took seven months It anyone's guess how long it will take this time. I don't have PCOS or any issues with anything down there, I think It was a case of just being unlucky. My cycles are near enough 28 days regular so I know when I ovulate (ish).

Hi ladies !
BabyJAJ - Sorry to hear of this problem :( I hope you get it fixed and get another bfp asap ! That is fantastic that you got your first in the first month :)

Emzy - It really is so very unpredictable! I guess every single woman is different, and it seems that it is going to happen when it is meant to and no other time.. Sorry for your loss, but I can see from your picture you now have a beautiful girly :) !! Good luck on trying for #2 !!!!

My son was conceived almost right away. He was born in March 2003. We started trying for another baby in March 2004.
It's been 9 years and 6 months, still trying :(
I wish you all the best of luck!
Baby dust to you!

On cycle#10 with still no bfp. Have been TTC since Sept 2012 with two v brief breaks of literally a few weeks each but we still weren't careful..more ntnp those months. Nearly at the one year mark and tbh it scares me so much

Have been trying for baby # 1 since January. This is 9th cycle running. Nothing happened during last eight cycles.

Thanks for sharing your story ladies.. We are about to start on our 5th month now. It is not as easy as they made it seem in biology class in highschool.. haha !

took 5 months with #1

I have a different partner now and we are about to start 14th cycle trying for #2

I know I ovulate but we haven't had any other tests yet. They are next on the list.

Hey hun it took me and DH two years ttc our first. Found out I was born with only one tube and only one functioning ovary on the left side. I also had endometriosis behind the left ovary which the doctor thought was affecting my egg quality. After I had a HSG PLUS Laparoscopy surgery to remove the endo I conceived 4 months after but sadly miscarried. Then I got pg again two months later and I am now expecting our first. It was a VERY frustrating, upsetting and nerve wracking journey and at one point I really thought it was never going to happen. I say, if it does take you a long time to expect tears and sadness but never EVER give up hun!!!! Good luck to you and I hope you get your :bfp: very soon :hugs:

Been married since 5/7/11 and actively TTC ever since! It was a long, hard, emotional road but after practically 'giving up' and thinking it might not be meant to be, I got a positive pregnancy test when AF was 2 weeks late this month! So 2 and a half years and I am now 32 almost 33 with first baby in my belly! I'm so happy, but the symptoms are really difficult..
