I just want a nice wooden play kitchen for my little girl! Simple? No!!!

Has anyone got a good quality, decent sized wooden play kitchen they can recommend? Or have you come across one anywhere?

I keep looking and I have found lots but they are either too small, look a bit cheapy/lack quality, or the style just isn't right! ELC have two nice ones, but one is a 50s style and one is a cottage style - neither will work here! I don't expect her toys to fit in with my décor or anything (I'm a childminder so chance would be a fine thing!!), but I don't want one that looks like a t*t on a bull's belly!! Excuse me!

I'm getting so irritated and frustrated with this now. It's meant to be her Christmas present. I don't want to spend £300 either! Ebay ones seem to be as expensive if not more expensive than the high street; as I said, ELC has 2 but not really suitable; Argos has one which would be OK (but looks smaller in real life than in the photo) and I could use some of my nectar points, but they have been out of stock for about 8 weeks now (and yet have still just discounted it?!). I have bought stuff from GLTC before, and they have a couple but they are massively expensive for what they are.

When I saw the Asda wooden play kitchen, I was over the moon until I realised they were out of stock EVERYWHERE and people are selling them on Ebay for more than the normal full price!

Help me (Father Christmas)!!

My OH is "making" A kitchen for small, well if his work stops being an arse and gives him some time to make it. If not I'm going to be cross, so have decided to keep teh Ikea one in mind as a back up just in case!

The little tikes one is the one that is in Argos... well, it isn't because it's out of stock!

I saw someone else talking about Melissa and Doug on facebook the other day and thought they were only in the US, but I will have a look.

Hellodoris - my husband is a carpenter and could technically make one I suppose, but would probably cost more. His boss lets him make things in his workshop usually, but they are fairly busy at the moment. Something to consider.

Yeah, they are entertainment centers to us Yanks -- usually because you have your TV, DVD player, Sat TV receiver, DVDs, game console, surround sound unit, games, etc. stored there. A bit more than just a TV.

I've bought my kids a kidkraft kitchen , it looks tab and has great reviews everywhere, it comes in pink, retro red and white. I love it, not the cheapest but I would say a good price for the red I paid 143 and I know the pink is even cheaper! They do different ones too

It makes more sense as we also store all of that in ours haha! The other person I saw calling it an entertainment centre, was an Australian!

We have the bigjigs wooden kitchen. You can buy all the items seperate so its up to you how big or how much u want to spend. Very good quality and my daughter loves it x
