In my research I have come to learn that cigarette smoking is far worse than an occasional joint, reasoning behind this is the chemical content.
If you are in Canada you can go to any walk-in clinic and get advice from the doctor there. I'm not sure how it is in a lot of other countries, but in many places in Canada it can take a week to a month to schedule an appt with your family doctor because of massive shortages. Go to the walk-in, be honest (about using marihuana) and they will guide you from there.
Now, I'm not going to get up on you about using marihuana when pregnant, just give you some basic information. A lot of marihuana (in fact most) sold in Canada is no longer pure marihuana and the THC content is extremely strong, even much moreso than in the US. A lot of marihuana sold is laced with various other things, like cocaine, meth, and heroin. Sounds nuts, but yes, this is very true. So you have to stop.
lol i know, canada has the best pot...
but seriously, i can give it up...
I don't think the other thread needs to be brought into here. I will say the reason I believe most women were taken aback was because of the second comment (the lame one).
Also want to add that I agree that it does not make you a bad person. I think you will find out so much useful advice on these boards and the support is incredible! I really hope you find the support and answers you are looking for!
i've been looking at pregnancy websites, but i find it more helpful to talk to real people..
and i know my options... i'm totally against abortion (not saying that i dont think people should be able to make the choice.. i just think it's the wrong choice), and i've thought about adoption a lot, but i dont know if i could go through with that.. i have always wanted to have a child, but i didnt think it would happen this soon.. i guess i'm going to have to totally change my lifestyle, which probably wouldnt be a bad idea even if i wasnt pregnant.. i have used drugs, worse ones than weed, but i'm not some kind of strung out junkie, i have a pretty good job, i have been to university but i dropped out, although i can go back any time.. i'm a very caring person and i think i could be a great mom someday
As for your last thread, I have to say that while I'm not in agreement with drug use during pregnancy, I'm a little surprised at the response you got.
Yes you need to quit, get help to do so, just don't do it, same as any woman smoking cigarettes while pregnant.
I have to ask though ladies, why the smackdown on this girl and not the "regular" smokers????? There are many threads discussing continued smoking in this forum, none of which got this kind of reaction.

Not trying to start trouble AT ALL. I've been on the forum for awhile now and respect your opinions, however I'm a little confused at the double standard.
I will state that I don't think smoking of any kind is a healthy way to make a baby.
