In Total Shock...

Yay!! That is awesome! Im due Jan 3rd :) I need to update my ticker lol.

Our babies will be a few days apart!!! So glad to hear it!!!

I'm still feeling tired here and there but not as much like the last few weeks. i'm in my 9th week now. just crazy!!! so i'm hoping slowly my energy will return. i just feel blahhh some days, where i want to do nothing lol.

how are you feeling?

This is the website I used for my ticker
https://global.thebump.com/tickers/

Click on the pregnancy ticker and enter your due date and it will generate a code for you. Then copy the url code and paste it under your signature on this board :) I finally updated mine!

I am feeling pretty sick this time around. They called me in some Zofran to help with the nausea so I am finally able to eat alittle bit more than I was. I had lost about 7 pounds over the last few weeks but I am gaining it back now lol. I don't need to gain much anyways. I still had about 15lbs to lose from having my daughter! Lol

Oh wow glad you are able to eat. So far so good for me. My big issue is constipation and boobs hurting. But we will take it. Lol. My hubby and I are trying to figure out where to go for our babymoon. U

A babymoon sounds fun! Are you working right now? I haven't worked since August. I feel so lost not having a job but I do enjoy staying home with the kids :) After this one it will be a while before I can work again because daycare is sooo expensive!

Yes i'm working, will work until either i deliver or doc tells me otherwise. we'll see what happens after the maternity leave is over. i'm going to try to work it out with my current job, maybe try to work from home 2 days a week. see if they let me.

yeh i'm sure it will be tough for you. daycare is soooo expensive. i may even switch to part time but we'll see.

thanks i had fun creating the ticker:)

I worked up until 36 weeks with my son then went back when he was 8 weeks. With my daughter I worked up until the day I had her and didn't go back after that because we ended up moving and the daycare for both kids here is close to $1,000 a month. Although I would bring in money if I worked, it wouldn't be much after daycare. Looks like I will be home for a while lol. I am trying to think of something to do from home to earn money. I have always worked so this is all new to me :)

Yeh i understand that. I'm thinking for me this whole thing is brand new, so it will take some time to get used to. I get 3 months off for maternity leave, so that will be nice. but after that we will have to see. discuss finances and see if we would be ok if i worked part time. even if it's just working 3 days that would be pretty good. i'm also going to look for stuff from home. that would be ideal.

Three months! Wow, I am jealous lol. I only got 6 weeks but I pushed for 8 weeks and the Dr allowed it since I had a c-section. The recovery time on that is a bit longer. I have been wanting to do something from home also. I have tried a few things in the past but ended up not making a dime.

I always forget how blessed we are in the UK... we get up to a year off and statutory maternity pay for 39weeks!

That's wonderful!!! Apparently I need to move :)

I hated having to go back so early after having my son :(

oh wow yeh i'm happy with the 3 months, but i'm sure it won't be enough. but working from home sounds good if you can find a position like that.

so soooo many of my clothes are starting to look tight on me now. i have a few work pants that don't fit either. when did you start buying maternity clothes?

Thank you kirbyland! :)

Kismat - I started buying them around 16 weeks with my son. I had some bigger jeans from when I was heavier in the past so I transitioned into those before having to buy any maternity pants. If you are already getting uncomfortable you can get some larger pants or just get some maternity ones. I loved the maternity dress pants for work they were so comfy. I am not sure what you have to wear at work but Old Navy has good jeans too.

Gosh...I couldn't imagine going back to work that soon! We are lucky to have a year maternity leave in the UK (not full pay mind you). I'm planning on taking about 9 months off when my twins come and then go back hopefully 2 days a week.

3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow....I couldnt imagine. That seems so short. In Canada we are covered for one year by the government and then on top of that depending on the company you work for or your boss you may have benefits that pay out for 6 months to a year.

As for at home jobs...if juggling your own babes isnt too much, what about a before or after school program or baby sitting service.

Or something classic like Avon or Mary Kay...there are so many options these days for side businesses, many now not make up!

Could any of your past careers transfer to an in home situation? Or tutoring!
