Hi everyone thank you for taking the time to read this. What it is, is i start my injections for icsi on easter sunday. I am a bit nervous about it as we have never done any sort of treatment before. I am scared that i will freak out and not be able to do it. I know they are part and parcel of it all and i am willing to do what ever it takes to have a baby but i just don't want to ruin my chances. I know i must be being silly but any advice and tips on this would be very helpful and i will be very thankful xx

Hey hun:)I did injects for our IUI.I know it sounds weird but they dont even hurt i found. It was more the nerves with me ie.in case i did it wrong. What i did was i got my nurse to give me the 1st one so i knew what it would feel like, then i wasint nervous at all:)Hope this helped.GL hun and BabyDust xoxox

Are you using needles or an injector pen? The pressure before the first one was immense but when it was done I could of laughed as I'd made such a fuss and it wasn't bad at all.
Injections might be better in the tummy - i've more flab there so hurt less.

This is my second month with injectibles. I am usually a big wussy when it comes to needles, but I was able to give myself the shots with no problems. This month I will be using the injector pen (first one monday 4/14), gotta say, not looking to forward to that, but I am sure it won't be any worse then the needles. FX'ed that all these sticks won't be for nothing and we all get our BFP!

Thank you all so much will most likely be more mind or matter one i do it will find it don't hurt or can do it fine. I feel tons better about it now hugs to all xx

Hi, I use a little ice pack and cool the skin before DH does the injection, I can't bring myself to do it so he's had to do them all, I also kind of grab the skin so theres a nice fatty area to inject into, we've always done the injections into the thigh. The first injection is always the worst as you will be fearing the pain but it's not too bad. Wishing you all the best for your treatment :flower:
