Inspired by the other thread, what was your first tattoo and what's the story behind?

My first was my back tattoo (excuse the slightly blurry pic):

It was something I had thought about for a long time. I love white roses. I suppose it's also a reminder about my past and the people that have hurt me. The heart isn't whole, much like mine

My first was a heart on my wrist. I was 18. I just wanted a tattoo and couldn't think of anything better! I wanted to appear cool as my boyfriend of three years had just broken up with me and I thought a new tattoo would someone alter my appearance so that I was suddenly amazingly beautiful I don't know, it was stupid and looked a mess. Anyway it's covered over now.

I shortly after started dating a tattoo artist so i quickly got it covered up with an entire back piece lol.

ive got an n tatooed on me which i got for my 19th birthday. i got it a few months before i met my oh. i got it because it represents my name but it was at a time where i had absolutely no one in my life no family who i turn to so i was number one at the time.

I have musical quavers by each hip - really tiny with tiny little stars around them. Got it when I was about 20, had just broken up with a bloke and needed to do something drastic.
To be honest I forget they're there now, they're faded.

I have surprise, surprise - a phoenix lol! I got it as I felt the phoenix's life cycle, (death followed by rebirth) summed up my life quite well. It always seems like when awful things happen and I am feeling at my lowest, something good usually happens to counterbalance the bad stuff and take me in a new direction.

I have a star in the middle of my lower back (the tramp stamp area ). I got it when I was 14 because I was obviously so unbelievably cool, thank GOD i didn't go for my original idea which was a cross on my wrist...jesus.

My first one was a bat with my nickname on my arm and was a 18th present from my mum.
I actualy wanted my tounge peirced but she was realy againts it so we had a deal that I wouldnt get it peirced and she would let me live

She paid for the tattoo, got me a snake and through a macdonalds in to sweeten the deal

I have four tattoos, My first is two simple hearts interlocking on the inside of my right wrist. I got it when I first met wifey, when I knew that she would be with me forever, that I'll love her until the end of time whether we are together or not. She has a matching one on her right wrist
I have a tribal heart type thing on my outer left wrist which covers some quite severe scarring from self harm on that wrist. I just wanted something to cover up my mistakes.
On the inside of my left wrist I have an Alkaline trio heart, which also covers some quite severe scarring. I love Alkaline trio, they are my ultimate favourite band and their music helped me through some really hard times.
Just below my left elbow I have a red and black nautical star which I got to remind me of my best friend who killed himself in 2001.

My first one I got when I was 14 (naughty I know) it's a Chinese symbol (cringe) on my shoulder. Thinking about getting it covered, it's only small but in not keen on it. Stupid things you do when your young!

Then I have a pattern in my lower back and Hollie on inside my right wrist.

Need to get the boys names done but don't know where

My first tattoo is a swallow with some hearts around it, I was 14 and I picked it because it was the largest but cheapest on the wall in the tattoo shop, its one of my faves now, it has an extra bit on the wing where I jumped out the chair when he started and the gun slipped

I have a plain black gecko, it was my first on my stomach. NO thought went into it, I literally walked in and loved it on paper. I have no geckos but I'd love one. I got the (almost) same tattoo on my wrist,climbing

My second? Lets no even discuss it

I've had the girls names since, song lyrics for Alex on my arm, and Amy Winehouse on my leg (sounds a bit but not what you would probably imagine!)

i was 14 the deal was i could have a tattoo if my mum chose something as apparently she would choose a respectful tattoo that would grow with me.... needless to say i dont like it its a kitten with a ball of wool will see if i have a pic anywhere

My first tattoo was the 4 stars I have on my neck, me my mum and sister all went and got the same tattoo in different places. Each star represents a member of our family, we'd been through a really hard time and it was our way of saying we're still together still strong as a family, it was really special .

My 2nd tattoo was my husbands name in a design that I drew, I had it done just after we got married.

My 3rd was the 2 stars I have behind each ear and that was my only 'just because' tattoo.

My 4th was my first daughters name and DOB in a disney font because me and hubby got married in disney world

I designed my first tattoo at the age of 16.......it took me 6 years to finally take the decision to get it inked on myself.

It's a musical treble clef integrated with some blue and pink flowers. I am a pianist and have been since I was 2 years old so I knew whatever ink I had needed to be musical related and flowers because it makes it a bit colourful and girly.

It's on the outside of my right ankle.

My first tattoo is of a black widow spider on my ankle, my mom got it for me for my 15th birthday, haha. I wanted something feminine but I didn't want the typical flower or butterfly, so I figured what's more feminine than a spider who eats the head of her mate after sex...haha. Unbeknownst to me at the time, I would come to actually own black widow spiders (I don't have any anymore) and realize how unrealistic my tattoo is...and how they don't do it all the time, and they're not the only spiders who do it.

Here's a picture, it's not the best tattoo admittedly. I was the only one in my grade with a tattoo though so that was pretty awesome, haha.

I have 2 tattoos

I have a big tramp stamp of wait for it stars! I have one big star in the middle and 2 smaller ones to the side then it has swirls and stuff to complete it. Me and my older Sister went and got our first tats together as a bonding experience as it were..

Then my 2nd my little Sister wanted a tat and said "Ooo you should get one done too" so we had that as another sisterly bonding moment! My 2nd is cherry blossoms on my right wrist.

Oh what I do for my Sisters! I'm glad I only have 2

I have 4.

1st - My name on my foot, foot tattoos were amazing when I was 18 If I had a penny every time someone asked me if it was because i may forget my name I would be loaded! I love it all the same and my name means a lot to me because my parents chose it together.

2nd - The one I wanted originally, a beautiful swirly butterfly on my hipbone, my favourite, got this when I was 19, Its so girly and me!

3rd - A bow on my wrist, spur of the moment and dont really like it

4th - A disney quote 'A dream is a wish your heart makes...' Means a huge deal to me as disney was my whole childhood, I was also going through a really bad patch after plitting with my ex and he had destroyed my world and all my dreams.
