hi, My baby girl olivia was born on 15th december 2009 by emergancy c section at 29 weeks and one day. She weighed 2lb 11oz and was venilated for 8 days, then cpap or 4 weeks and shes now on low flow nasal cannula drifting between air and 0.01L/min.Shes 7 weeks old now and weighs 4lb 14oz She is still in the nicu establishing oral feeds, shes on alternate bottle/tube feeds and her main issue is desating during oral feeds.Im going to try and figure out how to put pictures on here!!xxx

everyone.. this is Hadyn he was born at 33+4 due to pre-eclampsia but weighed 5lb10oz!!!!!
he was on cpap for a few days but home from scbu in 11 days!!!!

This is my son Lucas. He was born at 34+6 weeks following me having a heavy bleed. Started contracting, had to be induced and ended up with an emergency c section. He hung on from 26 weeks as had a big bleed at that stage too. He was luckily born weighing 6lb 2oz, spent a week in SCBU being tube fed for hypoglycaemia and poor suckling. Lovely thread, you all have such beautiful babies. xx

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have found this board! My name is Shelly and I am currently expecting baby #5~a little princess~who was originally due on April 12!

I am currently in the hospital at 32w6d after my water having broken yesterday morning. I've had problems throughout my pregnancy ranging from a subchorionic bleed back in the 1st & 2nd trimesters to a low lying placenta just discovered several weeks ago.

So far no contractions, so I'm trying to hold her in another week if I can! The plan is to monitor me all week, and if I don't begin to labor on my own, they'll be inducing me a week from tomorrow when I'm exactly 34 weeks.

This is such a nervewracking & anxious time and seeing the success stories on this board have provided me such hope!

We've all been through such a lot and are here to help you in any way we can.

There is a catch though, you absolutely MUST share your pictures with us when your LO finally comes along. We just love the new babies!

The doc is now telling me as of this morning they might even try to push me closer to 35 weeks if baby & I continue doing as well as we have! I have a Level 2 ultrasound scheduled for later today, so I expect that will give us more information!
