This is Miss Gwendalynn Diana. Born 10/21/11 @ 10/41 p.m. at 31w1d gestation. She had to be delivered via emergency c-section due to the sudden onset of HELLP syndrome. She was 3lb 1oz and 16in long. She is doing AMAZING in the NICU. No breathing assistance, nipple feeding after 1 day, and almost maintaining her own temperature. Drs said we just have to wait until she reaches 4lbs and then we can bring her home. The Drs and nurses all joke that someone forgot to tell her she was a preemie as she acts like she is full term.

Aw she's gorgeous Heidi! Thank you everyone, I can't even begin to describe what a rollercoaster the past 6 weeks have been but then again I guess I don't have to as you's have all been there! I'm so glad there is a thread on bnb to announce these super special babies! Didn't want to post in the birth announcements section as it just felt weird and I've found that a lot of people aren't quite sure what to say when they hear you've had your baby early! xo

Hi everyone and congratulations

This is baby Amy. She was born 9 weeks early. It was such a shock and a long labour, but she's absolutely fine, not needed any help with her breathing, she's done amazingly well She was born 3lbs, lost some of her birth weight, and now weighs 4lbs. Here's one of the first pictures of her, and here's also what she looks like now She's still in SCBU at the moment, I'm desperately waiting until she's finally allowed home

Hello everyone my son was born at 27 +4 , at 883 gramss he is now 5 weeks old weighing 3lbs

I feel like I shouldn't be posting in here with the size and weight of my monster.

Isaac was born at 35 weeks on 5th November. 5 weeks early. He weighed 6lb 14.

I personally think he didn't want to miss the Firework shows . My waters broke on their own but I had had 2 steroid injections and was planned to be induced last Saturday 5th night due to pre-eclampsia. My waters broke on their own at 2.30am Saturday morning.

He had low blood sugar (I'm Type One Diabetic, knew they'd be low) and he wasnt taking the breast or bottles and his breathing started to go bad, so he was taken to NICU and put in an incubator. Then he got jaundice due to the forceps grazes on the side of his head. He's still in NICU at the moment due to his feeding but he's getting there.

Doctors have said once he takes 2/3 full bottles in a row without using his tube he'll be able to come home. He's getting there though .

Hope everyone else is all good and all your premmies are doing great

Hi Everyone,

What gorgeous babies u all have i hope that all your premmies are doing well and growing big and strong,

My Twins was born at 27+5 my waters went around twin 1 on sunday 18th of sept, i was put on a drip for 48 hours to try stop labour and let the steroids get to work, when my drip came out my labour started, 20th sept 2011 my beautiful baby girl was born sleeping at 9.23pm weighting 2lb she was very poorly and always be my little angel, We named her angel rose.....
My Gorgeous little man came at 9.40pm and weighted 2lb 9oz we called him Daniel just like his daddy he has done so well i am so proud of him , he was vented for 6 days and spent 4 weeks on cpap, he's now been off cpap two weeks, and in the last two weeks he is now fully fed on bottles and on demand he is a hungry little boy and done so well he was weighted yesterday and now weights 5lb he is 36 weeks gest and 8 weeks old now.

My little boy will be coming home on oxygen and we are just waiting for them to come and fit the oxygen and if he be's good and all goes to plan as soon as its fitted he can come home, i am so made up but also very scared...
